What was the scandal at your school?

There was the maths teacher who was known to be a bit of a creep, who was caught snagging a pupil in the school hall...never heard from him again.
And the headmistress was caught with her hands in the till, quick retirement and shipped out.
I went to a decent school I promise!

One year we had an absolutely beautiful (and not at all creepy) NQT who was basically sexually harassed by quite a lot of the older girls. 2 were suspended for bursting into his classroom, calling him a "sexy fucker" and grabbing his crotch.

A teacher from middle school convicted for historical sex offences against young boys.
Secondary school had an open air swimming pool. One hot summer some former pupils decided, on the way home from the pub, to break in to the grounds for a drunken swim/skinny dip. Unfortunately the police were called and the story made it into the News of the World with a headline something like "naked romps in school pool".
Also, some pupils visited a brothel on a school trip to Thailand. That one made the papers too.

A boy briefly started at my school he was 11 and had gotten a 16 year old girl pregnant at another local school, but he was quickly excluded for bringing a knife or gun in from what I remember. Older lady teacher around 50-60 having a thing with a rather gorgeous young teacher and they eventually got married.

Head of maths, arrested on six occasions for masturbating on manekins in JL. Was in the paper, kept his job.
Personal Improvement teacher (weird lesson that covered sex, cooking and typing) dealt weed. Really good weed and resin. She was much loved but eventually caught. She just fucked off and travelled.

Someone in my year group got pregnant at 14 by her 17 year old boyfriend. Apparently she was due to return to school but then got pregnant by him again.

One boy (year 10 i think) was tricked bt his friends into thinking he was talking to a girl online and a video was shared of him... erm, having a good time (early 2000s, so young into this type of thing!)

Not really a scandal. At my primary school one of my teachers was a lesbian. Very much in the closet but somehow some parents found out and teacher retired early. Shame, she was brilliant.

Girl in my year died of a heroin overdose at 13.
Girl in my year had 2 DCs by the time she was 16.
Over 30 teenage pregnancies in my year alone.
Girl in my year with rumours about her and the ancient school bus driver. They ended up married (significant age gap).

A deputy head, the favoured one for pupils, being let go due to cost cutting as they didn't need 3 so the whole school went on a mass protest, chanting 'save Mr X' as we all marched about.

Teachers that just could not control unruly pupils. Science was a joke and we went through many teachers.

I wonder why we failed OFSTED so badly.

I secretly dated my maths teacher but it wasn't a case of him being an older paedo...he was only 21/22 and I was 19 🤣🤣 he was a neighbour of mine too so I we used to sneak through the fields to each other's houses....ah good times. We are still good friends.

A girl got married in the Easter holidays she was 16 Scotland so no permission came back for her exams them her husband was late 20s !

The husband of one of my teachers, who taught at a different school, was jailed for having numerous affairs with pupils at his school. I felt bad for her as she was lovely.
Many of the male teachers at my secondary school seemed to be middle aged with anger issues. The teachers at my DC secondary school seem so young and laid back in comparison.

Tbh, I was in the group who caused most trouble - set off fire extinguishers in the drama studio, festooned the toilets with toilet roll, clingfilmed a teachers car, smoking weed in the toilets at lunchtime, sneaking alcohol and getting pissed on school trips sort of stuff

One of our teachers left the convent to get married. That's about as exciting as we got!! Sister X became Mrs X-Y 😲

We did have one girl who punched a teacher. She was given anger management sessions and counselling but was allowed to stay at the school (she had a very troubled home life).

Where to start? English teacher having an affair every two years with whichever L6 boy took her fancy. Several other teacher pupil relationships. One History teacher exposing himself to a girl in my year who was told to shut up and not make a fuss because he'd lose his job if she did and she wouldn't want that on her conscience would she? One 12 year old girl getting pregnant by her own father. 12 year olds getting blind drunk on weekend trips to Europe and teachers turning a blind eye to it.

This was in the good old Seventies, But even by those ropy standards it was still a spectacularly shit school.

One teacher used to keep a plimsoll in his back pocket, and any boy (never a girl, though) who put a foot wrong in his class was taken into the PE changing room next door and smacked with it. It came out one day (after one of the boys wet himself in fear in class - and these were secondary-age boys) that the use of the changing room was because they were being made to take down their trousers and slippered on their bare bottoms. Teacher was never seen again.

Teacher tried to rape a pupil then tried to blow up the school by opening all the science gas taps. Obviously this is the worst but also had a year 11 girl pregnant by a language assistant, a year 8 girl in my class gave birth on site (father unknown - she had slept with half the neighbourhood according to rumour). Crap school!!

My maths teacher was dating the English teacher. One day she didn’t come into school. At lunchtime the police turned up a x arrested him. He had attacked her. He never came back to school. But she did.

The FW, as he was code named, the dirty bastard who used to pull his car into a back alley opposite our netball court and wank over the adolescent girls in netball kit. (It was, indeed, short for Fantom Wanker - deliberate misspelling.) We clocked onto this after a while and the whole team used to stand in a row glaring at him, arms folded, giving him the Hairy Eyeball through the gate. Which saw that bugger off nicely.
Getting thrown out of Bradford Photographic Museum for general misbehaviour. Ever so naice school were horrified.
Our year was never allowed on another school trip.
One girl was expelled for keeping a bottle of vodka in her desk. That was the rumour. It was possibly drugs. We never found out.
