What was the scandal at your school?

There was the maths teacher who was known to be a bit of a creep, who was caught snagging a pupil in the school hall...never heard from him again.
And the headmistress was caught with her hands in the till, quick retirement and shipped out.
I went to a decent school I promise!

PE teacher at primary school convicted for possessing child pornography, years after I left. I was gutted - he had been a lovely teacher and I had never known or seen any hint of any impropriety.

Headteacher was having an affair with the deputy head (both married, not to each other), another teacher ran off with the money we had paid for our yearbooks and we never got the money back, lots of underage pregnancies, a few students brought knives into the school (not at the same time), a couple of teachers were known for doing drugs during school hours, one was an alcoholic who didn't hide it well and a teacher was sacked after locking a girl in his store cupboard. I did not go to a good school.

I also remember the caretaker at junior school used to sit in his shed by the canteen reading porn mags.
One girl claimed at secondary school that a group of boys gang-raped her in the changing rooms. it was later found out that she had invited the boys to have sex with her not being funny but she quite free and easy known as the school bike
Our home economics teacher was ultra posh and very stuck up but then it came out that her husband was arrested and sent to prison for fraud! she was not so posh after that and left soon after but I am sure that it must have been very embarrassing for her

Posh school here, a girl,( who is now on a famous tv soap programme) was caught having being under the influence of drugs in class. And we had a 14yr old who was pregnant.

One of the teachers had 'a funny turn' and drove their car right through the packed playground (no fatalities) and off school grounds, never to be seen again. The playground wasn't part of the road route out of the grounds.

Not a scandal as such but I started an extra foreign language and never completed the course in secondary as our first teacher died and the second suddenly moved to a different school with minimal warning halfway through a term. There weren't any others who knew the language and we were quite a small class so the course just got dropped.

School bus driver had an affair with with the depute head. When she supposedly ended it he rammed her car when she was in it with his bus full of pupils in the car park. Reversed back and forward, hit it about 4 times. Kids screaming, staff screaming, hysteria all round. No-one was hurt thank goodness. Could have been very serious. He went to court but not sure if he went to jail.

RE teacher sacked for having a massive stash of quite extreme Nazi propaganda material in his classroom cupboard.

We had a series of bomb scares! The whole school was evacuated three times. I think it turned out to be a former pupil phoning the threats in.

Someone in my year nine form got pregnant and kept the baby.

I remember someone climbing over the fence to retrieve a football and losing half their finger on the fence spike in the process.

A couple of the teachers used to meet some of the attractive female 16 year olds for drinks in town - highly inappropriate!

My school was dull, very average - a handful of girls wheeled babies into their GCSE exams. There was a fire which was arson and lots of rumours (never proven) about who was responsible.

In my DD’s primary school it’s well known that the Headmistress of the Infants is having an affair with the Deputy Head of the Juniors and I can’t believe her husband is unaware when all the school mums and some of the older kids know, AND their child is in the juniors!

That’s really sad. Someone promiscuous can still have been raped.

Our P.E. teacher who ignored a ‘sick note’, made a girl run the cross country. The girl got some secondary chest infection and died. P.E. teacher wasn’t dismissed but was retired to a deck job.

Teacher who started dating one of his students the year she left school, consequently married her, a very long (30+ years) happy marriage.

Lots of teen pregnancies, a few abortions.

Not my school, but the local high school, our Avon lady came home to find her son in bed with his very underage girlfriend and the Avon ladies boyfriend making up numbers for the threesome. Social services, police all included as the girl was 13/14 and the Avon ladies boyfriend was like 50!

Maths Teacher and DT teacher were married but she was having an affair with another maths teacher.

He found out and killed her (using something he created in the DT classroom) with their kids in the house. Was horrific.

And the other DT teacher sacked for sleeping with a student. Not a good few years for our school.

Teacher resigned after having a relationship with a pupil. Small fire and afterwards the caretaker left and was not in another job, suggestion his carelessness caused it.

1st school middle class girls grammar.
Girl got pregnant and they changed our home economics curriculum to have a massive emphasis on the dangers of sex and horrors of childbirth, as well as what to feed pregnant women.
Another girl got caught sending nudes at 14 and whole school had assembly on why it was so "stupid" to do so. They didn't name her but she was crying a lot
Relentless rumours of girls going to England for an abortion
2nd school mixed middle class grammar
man with flame thrower came into school and badly injured some pupils
teacher got fired by another school for throwing a chair at a child and got hired there. He only wore crocs and had a mattress in his cupboard
pupils put school up for sale
end of year 13 celebrations got out of hand and eggs were pelted all over the windows at night. On their last day, the whole year were screamed at for 45 mins and escorted off the premises

Design and technology teacher had a nervous breakdown and strangled a girl in the class, he wasn't sacked and she carried on raising hell in the school.
On a trip to Spain, one year 9 couple got caught in flagrante delicto by the mouthiest knobhead in that year.
Head of English department who was a dead ringer for the orange fella who does antiques on tv slapped a girl and didn't get in trouble.
Another Design and Technology teacher was shagging a sixth former (or 3) and goes on to marry her, nobody bats an eyelid and that was 2014 ...
Art teacher was notorious for being a pencil dropper around young female students but never pulled up on it.
Several students became mums during/before GCSE years but hardly the crime of the century and they've all gone on to be successful women and parents.
One girl was in an amateur horror film made by her boyfriend and did a scene where she was in the bathtub, one boy from her year was stalking her online and found out before sending the video to everyone in the year (she had left the school at this point so didn't find out until a few years later).

It's interesting how much shit was caused by males ...

One of my teachers from secondary (early 1980s) is in jail for sexual offences with underage girls. He's in his 80s now and we all knew he was dodgy as fuck. No one would listen.

The RE teacher married his ex pupil about a year after she left school. Think they knew each other from church so it was slightly less creepy and there was only about 5 years. He also used to spend a lesson a year on torture, going into graphic detail how exactly one dies on a cross. Had him for 5 years.
The French teacher was very odd, used to go on about how he wouldn't let his cat outside in case they got jealous of the outside cats and run off. He was also terrified of thunderstorms, went under his desk to "get a pencil" stayed there for the next half hour.

A boy I was in primary school with murdered his mum when he was at secondary school. My secondary school was a private, all girls school, and exceptionally boring in that respect.

A girl in my year got pregnant at 15. Actually, she may still have been 14, as I was one of the oldest in my year. Sex education came too late for her.

Awful geography teacher who was married to another teacher in our school had an affair with a student. This was the early 00's they are still together, now married with children.

In primary school, they called the police when one of the Year 6 boys (SN, I think) ran around attacking teachers with a knife he'd smuggled in. When the police got there, he opened his flies and pissed on them. In secondary school, an art teacher got his penis stuck in a hole in the wall in the boys toilet. I believe vaseline was eventually used to get him out. In sixth form, a newly divorced maths teacher eloped with one of the Year 13s.

My favourite was the year 13 leavers prank where they superglued pornography to the windows facing inwards on the head of Sixth Forms office.

There was also a couple of pregnant Y11s who just came back to sit exams, and numerous teachers who had relationships and married pupils.
