(Socially distanced of course and in strictest obedience of all localised lockdowns and 3 or 5 tiers and whatever illogic the powers that be can dream up next)

The original digital discussion continues...

My latest tipple is Old Mout Raspberry and Pineapple cider. I can handle a can of 4% per night, lightweight that I am. Grin

A guy from the wine club I joined in the summer rang today to flog me wine... perfect timing. Two cases en route in case of full prohibition in Scotland 😂 I told him he was on to a winner selling drink here

@PinkSparklyPussyCat

I just 'happened' to find the amaretto when I was doing my Ocado order and a bottle ended up in my order along with a bottle of Baileys and 2 crates of Bud for DH. I'm sure Ocado think we are raving alcoholics as there's usually some kind of alcohol in the delivery!
Did you not see that I bought 102 bottles of wine in the Asda 25% off offer. Yours pales into insignificance.

3 years ago my aunt died (98 and she was ready). My Asda delivery arrived whilst the catholic priest was there discussing her funeral service. I apologised to the priest, saying something along the lines of stocking up (30 bottles of red wine) and the delivery driver piped up 'Don't you believe it, I bring this every week'. I chose to ignore it because excuses sound just like excuses. The priest responded, 'I don't blame you, nothing wrong with wine' 😁😁😁😁😁😁

@DominaShantotto

People are getting angry about the unequal tier 3 shit now. Good. I’m furious - the booze thing was sheer spite because they can
What is the booze thing @DominaShantotto ? Can tier 3 no longer buy alcohol?

Blatantly seeking new audience for my rhyme

To the tune of David Gray “this year’s love”

🎤This year’s gin, it better last

And I hope it has lime

I’ve been drinking Gordon’s for too long

And there’s Bombay Sapphire too

Sipsmith’s open right now

Start to forget bout the Tanqueray

What more can I say

For me, Hendricks, all the way 🎤

We are on tier 3 which is really tier4 as we have tier0

Makes sense.....

We were told it was for 16 days if we were really really good

Seems we have not been really really good

The lies they tell

WouldBeGood · 29/10/2020 22:27

@Bailey0703 that’s a pretty unpleasant thing to say.

I think in your upset you’ve misunderstood this thread. No Covid deniers or Trump supporters here. Maybe go to bed and don’t lash out at strangers

MagdaS · 29/10/2020 22:27

I am very much left of centre and think Trump is a dangerous, narcissistic, insane man who should be nowhere near power.

I don’t suppose the impact of this on my mental health matters, does it, if hospital beds are empty? I could have stayed in every day since March but my children would not have a mother they recognise.

Nicolas gone to town on the tiers hasn't she?

I don't like that there's a 0 it implies it's never gonna get better than that doesn't it.

littlbrowndog · 29/10/2020 22:32

Yeah genie.

You kinda give up on the tiers as the gold 0 tier will never be reached

And I will give ameretto a go 😂

Hi, we just wanted to pop onto the thread with a reminder of our Talk Guidelines. We're happy to allow the discussion to continue, but on the understanding that having strong feelings about an issue does not give carte blanche to harangue others or shout them down. Peace and love.

Dowser · 29/10/2020 22:40

Cor I’m dead impressed
I mentioned to my 17 year old grandson, who is bright but in a maths , physics and chemistry kind of way but not quite so well up on the affairs of the world about the sumption/ sikora/ Gupta group... and he follows sikora on Twitter

Well slap my thigh and call me roger!
I’m seriously impressed

MercyBooth · 29/10/2020 22:47

95% compliance in the lockdown 95% compliance.

What a great idea

TabbyStar · 29/10/2020 22:57

I don't drink alcohol anymore (just went off it, no specific reason) but this thread is tempting me with Amaretto!

justasking111 · 29/10/2020 22:58

Complying with what@MercyBooth

justasking111 · 29/10/2020 23:01

The girls were talking about a drink called a Baby Guinness told it's lush

Dowser · 29/10/2020 23:01

@mercybooth
Hmmm...
I’ve no doubt it was high but I don’t think it was that high.

Dowser · 29/10/2020 23:02

@justasking111
Compliance with da roolz I would think

BogRollBOGOF · 29/10/2020 23:02

@MercyBooth

95% compliance in the lockdown 95% compliance.
Not this time... It was easier when it was fresh, spring and good weather.

Last day of Tier 1 for me tomorrow, not that it makes any fucking difference because of the rule of six.
Fortunately the DC's activities can continue, even swimming in tier 3.
Family were already tier 2 across the country. Not that I've seen most of them since before March.

justasking111 · 29/10/2020 23:02

Ah lockdown. Who said it was 95% compliance, if so then we are all wasting our time. Can 5% of the population cause this much chaos?

MercyBooth · 29/10/2020 23:03

It was directed at Bailey who claims people wernt complying with the lockdown.
