We’re already Tier 3. My ILs are in my front room. I am beyond giving a shit. My ILs are devout Catholic, law abiding, the least rebellious people you would ever meet. But even they have had enough of this bullshit.

I find it disgusting that people on 2/3 of their wages. Kids going hungry. That we should stop complaining. My husband and I are fine but I just don't understand why people would post that.

That those kids aren't safe at home! Their safer if their parents go out and earn money. A few days on and I feel bad that I had a rage on facebook . But it really made me mad.

So my non-halloween Halloween plans involved my DB and BIL coming over for a Halloween party, distracting dc2 that trick or treat might not be happening (dc2 loves it more than dc1). But now DBs area has gone up a tier and can't come over.

I know its fuck all in the grand scheme, but I'm annoyed. This not being able to plan because it changes from area to area from day to day is fucking annoying.

That said .. how would you feel if your daughter/granddaughter had an asthma attack / allergic reaction to peanuts/wasps/bees in fact ANYTHING..!but there were NO medics around to deal with them because they were all taken up with Covid patients???

An you NOT understand that COVID is only part of the picture? It doesn't matter if the hospital is full of Covid /measles/ flu / whatever ?

If it's full it's full ... (at the moment it's Covid) .. and afternoon such a phenomenal rate YOUR child /grandchild has next to NO chance of being treated ... it's really not hard.

Frankly, I was concerned how many of my circle thought it came into force on 23rd.

Last I heard, I think in September, the law had been amended 220 times.

I am feeding my Christmas cake with Amaretto and rum alternatively.

The Christmas cake that I will cover with a good layer of almond paste with added Amaretto. --and probably eat it all myself because illegal rules mean I won't have my usual Christmas visitors.

Not say because 'Covid' any more because Covid has fuck all to do with it anymore.

@Dowser here's the Sumption lecture. I've now watched it 3 times! I think it's clever how he doesn't really get into the ins and outs of lockdown but just the legalities. I could listen to him speak all day long. His speech starts at 9 mins 45 secs in.
