(Socially distanced of course and in strictest obedience of all localised lockdowns and 3 or 5 tiers and whatever illogic the powers that be can dream up next)

I've just had to order more bloody PE kit because the school have them coming in on PE days in it - which is fine, fantastic when you've got a dyspraxic as they come home with clothes on the right way and lose less... but aprons for art are banned because of covid - the teacher can't supervise them with paint because teacher is in her box (on twitter usually) and the fucking state DD2 has come home in was ridiculous - head to toe in green paint!

Pleasedontdothat · 23/10/2020 21:27

Checking in - I had a moment of slight panic until I scrolled down and found you all again

Orangeblossom7777 · 23/10/2020 21:29

It reminds me of the Easter egg madness do you remember that? Whether they were 'allowed' or not. People checking trolleys

Willow2017 · 23/10/2020 21:32

Found you, phew.

I need to take ds2 tomorrow for new shoes/boots so thank goodness we can go. Its insane deciding whats essential or not. You dont decide for me we are not in a dictatorship yet.

Why havent the other mps Had a quiet chat about whats going
on and knocked it on the head? Spineless wonders.
Stationary is essential!!!!

WouldBeGood · 23/10/2020 21:35

Who needs milk, for god’s sake, there’s a pandemic!!!!!!!!

AllPlayedOut · 23/10/2020 21:45

DominaShantotto Thank you. Your DD sounds great. I should really try to take her advice. I'm getting angrier and angrier by the day. I'm so frustrated by people swallowing whatever bullshit the governments throw at them, and by their pathetic attempts at trying to justify these latest measures when there is clearly no genuine justification for preventing people from buying underwear in Tesco.

justasking111 · 23/10/2020 21:47

It is March again, roads empty, tumbleweed blowing about the streets, nothing moving at all. Expect the goats will come down to town again.

justasking111 · 23/10/2020 21:50

on FB the welsh government page, Drakeford is having his arse handed t him on a plate, one post called him words I would never use Blush

I had a bit of a panic when I saw the thread was full, thankfully I found the new one before I imploded. Please could I have a bottomless bottle of wine, any colour will do, my tastes are simple.😀🍷😀
Went out for a curry tonight, no masks worn by either customers or staff, it was bliss, felt like a normal Friday evening, lots of laughter and wine.
Went out to the Italian earlier this week, we’ve been going there for the past thirty years, the owner told us they’d been reported by a ‘passerby’ for not being strict about mask wearing.😡😡😡

Taswama · 23/10/2020 21:53

Stationery is definitely essential. Due to the nature of my job I normally pick up a few freebie notebooks at trade shows / conferences each year. But of course I haven't been to one since last year so I actually had to buy a new notebook (from Poundland) this week!

Very glad to have found you again. DP helpfully suggests the Welsh PM needs to find an alternative activity as he is clearly taking out his frustration on the Welsh people.

IAintentDead · 23/10/2020 21:56

@JamieLeeCurtains

Hello. I tagged on to the tail end of the previous thread because of The Edicts Of Drakeford.

I'm actually a bit of a prepper, and not a natural AD.

But the fencing off of 'non-essential items' that could easily be essential to a family or individual much less fortunate than Drakeford and other politicians is too much now. Much too much.

@JamieLeeCurtains

Do you judge others for thinking differently is the only criteria.

So long as you don't then you DO belong on here. We have varied views, feelings and emotions and are happy to share them. What we don't do is judge others for believing or feeling different.

RobinHobb · 23/10/2020 22:06

Thanks for this thread again @BogRollBOGOF

Someone called them a bunch of F>>>> bell sniffs

Oh, well that's perfectly understandable. When you said they used words that you'd never use to describe him I thought that you meant terms like competent, intelligent, trustworthy and reliable.

Well, well, the irish are doing border checks again.

‘Do you judge others for thinking differently is the only criteria
So long as you don’t then you Do belong on here’

So true. Contrast with this little gem on the Manchester thread
‘Compliance needs ramming down people’s necks’ followed by the assertion that ‘all the people in the NW had to do was follow basic social distancing advice’ -in a way quite refreshing I suppose because at least we now know that it wasn’t merely the young, students, Scousers or Mancunians to blame but the entire population of the vast swathe of the country that is the North West !

Reedwarbler · 23/10/2020 22:41

I hope the Welsh government actually read their Facebook page, I don't think I've ever seen such extensive vitriol. I feel angry on behalf of the Welsh. Pop over and see us in Gloucestershire, you are very welcome.

Wishfulthinking1977 · 23/10/2020 22:42

Checking in whilst hiding under six duvets! Stolen the kids as they can hide in the shed! 🤣🤣

ah thank you thought you lot would be mad that we have purloined your police force to patrol our borders for us. To me it seems a bloody cheek.
HeIenaDove · 23/10/2020 23:02

@justasking111 Some excellent points being made on that fb page like "better not break my phone as i wont be able to replace it" and "what if ppl need to buy stuff like PJs for a relative thats gone into hospital

Drakeford hasnt thought this through at all.
