If we all survive this, when people talk about it in the future, I will say " it was so fucking boring "

All anyone talks about is covid . Alm that us on the news us covid. Can't go to the theatre because covid. Gigs? No covid.
Restaurants are dodgy. Pubs are dodgy. Seeing family and friends is forbidden. It is all so bloody dull.

Plus the smell. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant everywhere. Yuck.

Yy, there is nothing more boring than covid 💤 😴

lentilsforlunch · 10/10/2020 23:34

I hate the hand sanitiser the most. When this has passed pretty sure the smell of it will make me boak

nocoolnamesleft · 10/10/2020 23:35

But we won't ALL survive it. That's the whole point.

Yes there’s not going to be some epic pandemic film is there?
“What did you do?”
“Well we mostly tried to stay at home...”

catlovingdoctor · 10/10/2020 23:38

I know. Bored to bloody hell and back with it all and fed up of having to worry about going to meet friends. But I'm going to make a point of really making the most of time and things to do once this all, eventually, passes.

Juniperandrage · 10/10/2020 23:40

Honestly, a lot of time boredom is a cover emotion for anxiety. It's your freeze response kicking in. I know a lot of things suck right now but there are still interesting things to do and small beautiful things to enjoy

Prettybluepigeons · 10/10/2020 23:42

I cried in the hairdressers this morning. Thexstylist, who I gave known for years, asked how everything was and I just started crying.
It is all rubbish quite frankly.

It’s shit. I haven’t been able to work because DD is on short school day’s. I’m so bored. I like working and having the money (and saving for holidays and buying rubbish).
I want to go shopping for Christmas ‘bits’ with my friends and not wear a mask. Although I can’t shop with friends anyway.
Bored bored bored

dhisreadingmypostsagain · 11/10/2020 00:19

Im with you 100% it's just so bloody dull now.

MsTSwift · 11/10/2020 00:22

If I hear one more person say solemnly and piously “we are in the middle of a global pandemic” I will scream

Prettybluepigeons · 11/10/2020 00:33

Yes! And all the people talking about 'reporting' people

Same, so bastard bored of it. I had to reschedule a tattoo for the second time this week. Was due to be done first in April and now I'm on a bloody local lockdown so can't go to my appointment next week. Because he's so popular and has a large waiting list it's now rebooked for March. I wouldn't mind so much but it's to continue a sleeve and the one thing on it is drawn out but not coloured in and people keep asking me when it's going to be coloured in!

I know it's really shit and I feel bad for the people being ill and dying but I'm still allowed to feel bad for myself and my circumstances too.

LegArmpits · 11/10/2020 00:35

Anxious? Really not. Just so very bored of it.

littlefireseverywhere · 11/10/2020 00:39

SO SO SO boring. Dull as anything, like life is on hold.

catsvdogs · 11/10/2020 00:47

Very board of it all. Rules are crazy.
My kid can sit in a class all day with his mates, eat lunch together and get the bus together, five days a week but same friend can't come to our home for tea. Fucking madness!!

Chattycatty · 11/10/2020 00:50

I'm doing til April and thats it after that covid can fuck right off I want my life back

Pacif1cDogwood · 11/10/2020 00:53

Gawd, I'm so bloody bores of it.

Shame the virus does not care and that work is more stressful and worrying and sad that it can be at the best of times.

Embrace the boredom, peeps Thanks

You could always do something different to what you did pre covid, personally I've never been so happy and excited for life, I've shifted the way I earn an income and I'm now doing odd jobs online during the day which keeps me busy and cus I don't have any transport time eating into my day I have so much time to cook fancy meals, watch films I never got around too, I've been doing so much crafting and sketching it's like I'm teenager again always creating things, I started learning 3D modeling on the pc as a new hobby as well, working my way slowly through my back log of public domain classic books, the list of things I can spend my time doing now is endless, I don't get how people can say they're bored, oh and I've been able to listen to sooooo much new music during my 'work' day and I've found loads of new songs I love.

Tbh life was kinda boring pre covid personaly.

Nikhedonia · 11/10/2020 01:05

What I hate more is the constant responses from people chastising those who say they feel bored of Covid-19.

People can be both aware of the need to stay safe but also be really bored of the intrusion of the virus in our daily lives.

People are allowed to be annoyed, grumpy, upset, frustrated or whatever else, FFS.

Yep
IHaveBrilloHair · 11/10/2020 01:13

I agree, its just so fucking tedious.

MadameBlobby · 11/10/2020 01:14

Agreed, shit isn’t it. It won’t be forever it just feels like it eh. Totally fed up with it. And I agree on hand sanitiser. I bought a strawberry one and still have a few bottles left and it’s just the smell of Covid now.

MadameBlobby · 11/10/2020 01:14

Thing is you sound pretty talented. I am shite at everything
Saratustra78 · 11/10/2020 01:17

Yeah. My 39 old bother, no previous conditions and hospitalised with COVID plus 3 moths at home bedridden, long term health consequences, told me - we’re lucky. People just don’t have the f*cking concept of life’s potential misery. People go through war in their life time, others go through illness, others both, or none. Enjoy privilege, but ffs - understand everything else.
