If we all survive this, when people talk about it in the future, I will say " it was so fucking boring "

All anyone talks about is covid . Alm that us on the news us covid. Can't go to the theatre because covid. Gigs? No covid.
Restaurants are dodgy. Pubs are dodgy. Seeing family and friends is forbidden. It is all so bloody dull.

Plus the smell. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant everywhere. Yuck.

I have found my people I now have to wear a fucking mask everywhere at work unless at my work station and my boss couldn't wait to tell us all by email ffs

Our library is so convoluted I've only taken stuff back. I had to make an appointment for that.

Well, I've always been able to entertain myself, and still read/crochet/exercise/decorate/garden/learn etc etc.

And I'm bored of COVID. Bored silly by the restrictions, the faux piety, the posters and signs, the division of people (I could quite happily have lived the rest of my life not knowing what dicks some people can be), the gushing sentimentality-it's all so dull and repetitive.

Bored of seeing the same old tired phrases that people trot out with an air of smug superiority, imagining themselves frightfully clever to have said something so insightful/scathing/argument-winning.

Any film made about this year won't be exciting- it'll be one of those sickly 'made for tv' failures, focussing mainly on Plucky Jenny, who hand-made tacky Christmas tree decorations, and Evil Fred, who once entered a shop without a mask on and was self-righteously ripped to shreds by Fawning Flora and her cronies. Bog roll will feature a lot, probably. And under-the-counter pasta.
