Mine is (Jam For) World In Action. A very powerful and thought-provoking piece that suited the nature of the programme perfectly.

I quite liked Barnacle Bill from Blue Peter before the Mike Oldfield arrangement displaced it. A pleasant, jolly hockey sticks kind of number.

How could I forget game of thrones?

RealityExistsInTheHumanMind · 01/10/2020 21:53

Lots of those mentioned, especially M A S H but the one I haven't seen mentioned - from when I was a child and I don't even remember the programme - just hearing the theme tune.

I've just googled it
"The five-episode series portrays Marie-Hélène Ronsin, a young French teenager, on her first trip to England as an au pair. Speaking some English, but very shy, she lives with a family in Brighton, and faces the challenges of culture shock. The series was followed the following year by a sequel, entitled Stranger in the City."

I was 6 and I just vaguely remember it playing on a Sunday afternoon.

The theme from The Bridge
Oh me too - hence my name! It's such fantastic music and the cinematography during the opening credits was incredible.

I think I'll have to set aside some time to have a listen to the themes mentioned on here. Would be a good trip down memory lane.

The theme to Wait Til Your Father Gets Home is one of those weird childhood memories that I actually had to Google to believe it existed. I was convinced it was my warped interpretation of something else, or a dream I had.

Sure enough... Ah, the 70's!

The Bridge - of course

Hill Street Blues - great beat. 'Let's be careful out there'. Actually this programme is well overdue a re-run or 2

Robinson Crusoe TV from the 1970s - lovely soaring strings

Ski Sunday - simply because I find it impossible to hum

Jamie and the Magic Torch Bonanza Chortlon and the Wheelies
Charlton and the Wheelies is a brilliant piece of music. I didn't realise how good it was until I tried to play along with it on the piano.
