Today, I cleaned the fridge

yes I really did !

I pulled it out and cleaned behind, and it was bad.. my bad.

I emptied it and bleached everything including the food, and have just put everything in it and pushed it back and arranged all the fridge magnets and children's drawings and I feel amazing.

I sent a small video to my bloke hard at work.... which he appreciated no end. I do believe he is showing our fridge to his colleagues right now (NOT)

Tomorrow I will clean out one kitchen cupboard because I am fab. I am Woman and I can do this.

Anybody else do anything truly wonderful and worthy of note today ?

Join the smug club.:)

I changed the tiny bulbs (g9) in our bathroom light fixture. I unscrewed the whole thing on one of them. Which, it turns out, was unnecessary but it was still hard work.
Our bathroom is much brighter now with 4 bulbs instead of 1 flickery one.

I went to local urban 'farm' shop and filled a cute, tiny shopping basket with photogenic fresh f. and v. that was all loose, no horrid plastic packaging anywhere. I just need a wicker basket to carry it all smugly home over my arm. Possibly need a floaty dress too.

I am more in awe of your achievement though and am eagerly looking forward to tomorrow's installment! May need before and after pics though, OP.

I will return, but just as an aside, yesterday I ran mostly 2K. Life can be good sometimes

Congratulations, always good to feel that you have accomplished a useful goal.

Not absolutely sure about bleaching food.

ThatBitch · 30/09/2020 16:19

I did the cupboard under the stairs. I turfed EVERYTHING out, cleaned the carpet, wiped down the walls wiped all the shoe racks, sorted all shoes into pairs, took out the ones that don't fit anyone, organised so everyone has their own rack. Sorted all the gloves and hats. Sorted the coats and took out the top small ones. Put it all back together. Took about 3 hours and not one fucker has commented how much more convenient it is now 🤣

I work full time, my husband is retired.
He took down the long, heavy, lined curtains in the bedroom, washed and dried them and hung them back up.

We need a new pole now!

And that is precisely why I videoed my effort. You should have put a sticker on the door for the family ignorant bastards to peruse at their leisure

You can't beat a bit of bleach here and there as long as nobody knows :)

I did the 'calc' clean on my
Philips Senseo coffee machine.

I have a water softener, so I don't think it's strictly necessary, but hey ho, the indicator light annoys me!

It doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago that I last did it & it's supposed to be every
400 (or 500) cups of coffee, if it is, that's somewhat alarming as I'm the only one that drinks the coffee!

H1978 · 30/09/2020 16:27

Dsis passes her daughters clothes for dd3 and I’ve just been piling them in bags at the bottom of dds wardrobe. Today I pulled it all out and arranged in age and categories depending on type of clothing. The next size up are all hung up ready for when she fits into them. It felt amazing!

AlwaysLatte · 30/09/2020 16:27

Well done! God I need to o do this but the fridge freezer is enormous and weighs a ton and is wedged into its space. I dread to think what's under it as it hasn't been moved for 6 months!

MoltenLasagne · 30/09/2020 16:28

2 weeks ago I fully cleaned the guest room ready for my parents to come up. Then we went into local lockdown. At least I can still go in, smugly look at how clean and tidy it is, and threaten to kick DH out if he keeps snoring...

dottiedodah · 30/09/2020 16:29

I cleared my bedroom out .3 huge bin bags of my clothes to Salvatian Army Bin at Tescos! Cleaned all down and bought new Duvet cover from M and S plus new lamp and picture ! Well smug !

dottiedodah · 30/09/2020 16:30

FinallyHere Fish counters in shops always seem to smell of bleach!

I want to join as I feel smug about my small wins for today, I cleansed cleared and rearranged my pantry cupboard and cleaning cupboard :)

borntohula · 30/09/2020 16:36

I organised a kitchen drawer and sorted some paperwork out.

Camphillgirl · 30/09/2020 16:40

You all need rewarding. How about glass of wine, mars bar, salted peanuts and remote control. Take it easy for six weeks now.

Brainwashed · 30/09/2020 16:41

Not on the theme of tidying/ organising but today I did a workout with my 23yr old son....turns out I'm better at press ups than him Grin

81Byerley · 30/09/2020 16:43

Does taking down the curtains, putting up new ones, discovering they are too short and putting the old ones back count?

SlopesOff · 30/09/2020 16:51

I bagged the fresh reduced stuff from the weekly shop that was in the fridge, labelled it and put it in the freezer. That is an achievement for me.

Esspee · 30/09/2020 16:58

I had a bath, washed my hair, sat for a couple of hours soaking my feet in foot peel booties while reading mumsnet, had a wonderful lunch prepared by OH, phoned a bunch of people to catch up and am now watching an Aussie series box set.
Tomorrow I intend to have a relaxing day. 😁

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/09/2020 17:06

TakeMeToYourLiar · 30/09/2020 17:08
