Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

Ah, found you all.
Got quite excited at the idea of a teddy fleece fitted sheet from Matalan, but then calmed down when I realised they weren't in stock. (Are they as warm and snuggly as they sound?)

KoalaandRabbit · 27/09/2020 20:53

DH just returned from his trip to plant plants but he didn't plant any. He did clean a wall and fix a door.

Ordered DS a couple of onesies, a PJs and a fleece penguin blanket from Asda. DD says he's too old for onesies but he said yes when I asked him so clearly he doesn't think 13 is too old.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/09/2020 20:55

I would like a weighted blanket, I think. I might look for one after payday.

Paranoidmarvin · 28/09/2020 09:23

I’m still sick and in bed. Have an absolutely stinking cold. Worse thing is this is my time off work for nearly a year. So I’m gutted.

Spudlet · 28/09/2020 09:41

@Paranoidmarvin Sad Hope you start to feel better soon.

My ankle and foot are sore today so no running. I’m coming around to the idea that I may need to go and see someone about this. It’s been one low-level injury after another since I went over in June. Just lots of niggles and gripes all accumulating, I think.

Going to walk the dog in a bit then the day is all mine as it’s DS’s first full school day today. Might do some knitting or some reading. Or both! Probably not at the same time though.

WunWun · 28/09/2020 09:42

I have been tidying so much I can now see the bed in my spare room.

I had two cup-a-soups for lunch. Every single time I do this, I remember how disappointing they are and yet here we are again.

FawnDrench · 28/09/2020 16:22

I heard owls hooting last night - it was lovely.

Our sunflowers really are on their last legs now.

Bought the dog a new ball and he is delighted with it.

Spudlet · 28/09/2020 16:39

The internet is back! A nice BT engineer came over and made it all better again. Hooray!

NameAChange · 28/09/2020 16:47

I went for a woodland walk, it was so nice in the sunshine. Then had homemade bone broth. I have a headache, I wish I knew why.

bearlyactive · 28/09/2020 17:04

Can I join? I keep seeing this thread and its predecessors and have been meaning to join!

Champagneforeveryone · 28/09/2020 17:15

DH and I went out for lunch so I've had to make DS cauliflower cheese by way of compensation (other teens are addicted to weed, with DS it's cauliflower cheese)

I also had my car valeted - this may actually count as too exciting for this thread as my car actually looks better than when I bought it Confused

soddingkitten · 28/09/2020 17:58

There were scaffolders working on the house next door today, so we kept Sodding Kitten indoors to keep him safe. It’s a good job he is so cute, otherwise I would have killed him this morning when he was most insistent that he should go out to play and noisy about it. By the time the scaffolders left and I let him out, it was raining. Bummer.

Now it is raining I can see how filthy the conservatory roof is. Another job for the list.

RepeatSwan · 28/09/2020 18:12

Went for a walk with DH after work, we climbed a tree. Now just trying to stay awake until tea.

SpeedofaSloth · 28/09/2020 18:13

I worked from home this afternoon, I didn't like it as much as working on site. I will be back on site tomorrow.

Spudlet · 28/09/2020 18:15

Of course @bearlyactive! All dull, calm and low impact news is welcome here Smile

soddingkitten · 28/09/2020 18:31

DS wanted cheese and biscuits when he got home from school. He brought the block of cheddar to me to ask if it was mouldy. It was, but the kind which is OK to eat so I told him so & explained he should trim it off.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 28/09/2020 18:34

Back from work - overtime again.
50% of Berlin public transport is on strike tomorrow, the other half is running, but we have to walk 30 minutes to get to the station. DS is convinced he'll break down with exhaustion.Grin
DH and DD work from home. They don't care.

KoalaandRabbit · 28/09/2020 18:37

DD has gone to bed with a cold and feeling sick, had it all day but says she needs to go into school tomorrow as an assessment. No temp or cough but told her she should stay home if she feels bad in the morning. Trying to sleep it off now.

DS is giggling to himself. Just eaten yoghurt and spinach today (not together) as still on antibiotics for kidney infection.

DH left the house at 5.59pm we don't know where to but suspect its his 6.15pm piano lesson.

Lazysundayafternoons · 28/09/2020 18:45

Hi all, joining back in again Smile

Having a quiet peaceful day, work was dull, the baby napped for 3 hours and is now in bed for the night, ds is having half hour on his switch so I am watching benidorm. I really want a holiday!

bearlyactive · 28/09/2020 18:48

My dull, calm and low impact news is that currently I am watching Nadiya Hussain make brownies on YouTube and trying to motivate myself to go and get some cheesecake from the fridge!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 28/09/2020 18:55

The cheesecake is calling for you since 18:48 - go and rescue it.

I think I'm coming down with a cold. My nose is tickly & runny but a bit bunged up & I have the same toothache I always have with a cold :( I've run a bath & pinched a bath bomb from dd2 to cheer myself up.
