Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

@Nydj

Seeing a red squirrel is pretty exciting isn’t it?
We don't see grey squirrels in our garden we only have red ones so no, not that exciting

Shock Wow!

CremeEggThief · 27/09/2020 13:33

My exciting news is a hedgehog visited our back yard last night!😍

CremeEggThief · 27/09/2020 13:34

I'm having soup for lunch now. And afterwards I shall have a plum and an apple.

MaMisled · 27/09/2020 13:43

Neighbours both sides are busy in the sunshine, gardening. Our garden is an absolute tip but we're inside watching Prison Break.

Nydj · 27/09/2020 13:47

Wow Redlockscelt - I cant recall the last time I saw a red squirrel, I’m a bit jealous

KoalaandRabbit · 27/09/2020 14:50

I swept up some hay with a dustpan and brush yesterday upstairs from the chickens DS has trailed in.

In more exciting news this morning I had an antibiotic and a yoghurt this afternoon and I've watched more Below Deck Med.

I've just read an e-mail.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/09/2020 15:15

We had filet and champignons in a cognac sauce with white bread for midday. DS does not like this so he'll be cooking for himself later.

It stopped raining.

I had a sausage roll for lunch. I might eat a banana shortly, but it’s riper than I’d like, so I might have it with yogurt for breakfast tomorrow.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/09/2020 16:24

DH has found me more ironing to do the bastard

Frownette · 27/09/2020 16:32

Clipped my nails, did a couple of washes, despaired at state of bedroom (was ill for a week), caught taxi to my 'bubble' house and we're having fish pie and vegetables tonight.

And I was quite gleeful about buying my one of my best friends a top earlier, murderous Halloween cat.

Spudlet · 27/09/2020 16:37

DH has just got more wood in, and we’re going to get a fire going. Dinner is starting to smell really good now.

DM and DStepdad have shifted their tiny spare room around to give DsD an office - he’s been at the kitchen table for months so this is a big improvement. We still don’t have our internet back - think I’m going to see if I can harry them a bit tomorrow and possible claim back some compensation for the loss of service / extra data costs for DH. It’s a 2 hour round trip for him to go to where he works, so that will be massively annoying if he needs to do that all next week - not to mention expensive in petrol. I’m mildly vexed by it.

EternalOptimist7 · 27/09/2020 16:38

I have piles of clothes but can never find anything so I went on “ George” & ordered 7 pairs of big comfy black knickers & 2 pairs of black leggings. Really should be putting those clothes away!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/09/2020 16:49

I just found out that my annual ticket to the zoo has expired, I need to renew it. I work not far away and can usually just go after work for a stroll around my favourites.

I decluttered my wardrobe (round 1), as one of those charity collection bags came through the door.

Now I'm having a cup of tea and a chocolate bar and will read for a while, before I make a veggie lasagna.

sueelleker · 27/09/2020 18:54

@FartingNora. Use the old one as a mattress topper?

Champagneforeveryone · 27/09/2020 18:58

We went to the pub to see friends (sat in the garden in the sunshine) then came home for roast lamb.

Now we're in our loungey clothes, DH is just feeding the hordes and then we are going to watch a programme on the Tube with the fire lit.

My 17 year old self would be horrified by how thrilled I am by this Grin

sueelleker · 27/09/2020 18:58

Definitely! I saw one in the wild in the Lake District about 25 years and think I’ll be lucky if I see another in my lifetime.
They still live on the Isle Of Wight.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/09/2020 18:59

Just had spag bol for tea.

TimeStoleMyYouth · 27/09/2020 19:03

I’m wondering whether to have a ham sandwich or a cheese sandwich.

Maybe I’ll have ham and cheese.

Afterwards, I might crack on with the socks I’ I’m knitting.

mathanxiety · 27/09/2020 19:04

Made a pot of tea. Forgot to drink it.

RepeatSwan · 27/09/2020 19:09

Went to get conkers with some friends, they were the best conkers we can ever remember collecting Smile.

Feel proud of some visible mending I did on one of the kid's pyjamas.

Watched a lot of telly this afternoon, lovely stuff.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/09/2020 19:20

DH and I had a discussion during evening meal:
If a lightning strike hits a football field and at that moment a player rises up for a header. Will the lightning affect him when he touches down again? And is the type of ground (grass, artificial grass, ashes ) of any influence?

OP posts:
SpeedofaSloth · 27/09/2020 19:36

Would it not be discharged to earth if it hit the field, by the time he landed?

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/09/2020 19:38

That's what i thought, but DH disagrees.
