Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

I changed my mind again over tea and had a nice bit of baked salmon. I might have the other piece for lunch tomorrow.

I'm having one last drink then going to bed. I'm knackered despite sleeping 7 hours last night and another three this morning.

badg3r · 12/10/2020 22:38

I love this thread. I booked an appointment at the dentist this morning because my wisdom tooth was a bit sore. It isn't till next week but the tooth feels better now 👍🏻

Champagneforeveryone · 12/10/2020 22:56

DDog1's bed still hasn't arrived. Amazon advises me that I can "come back tomorrow for a refund"

I have no idea what this means. A refund of postage (didn't pay, I have Prime)? A refund of the bed ie cancelling the order? Or a refund of the money and still get the bed (the bed was £90, I suspect this is not actually an option)

Amazon is annoyingly vague on the matter Hmm

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 12/10/2020 23:08

I'm a bit worried about what your DDog is currently sleeping on without a new bed Champagneforeveryone.

Specialgodson · 12/10/2020 23:18

I’m with you blackamericanonosugar. This uncertainty about the Ddog1’s current sleeping arrangement has added quite a bit of unwanted alarm and upset the dull nature of the thread. I am going to assume it’s sharing with DDog2 who has too large a bed for a chihuahua

Specialgodson · 12/10/2020 23:20

I nipped downstairs for an oatcake and house is very quiet.
I ought to be going to sleep but tempted to read the pages I’ve missed as it’s so soothing reading someone has done some ironing etc .

tangledhair · 12/10/2020 23:31

I scrubbed and polished my saucepans today with the pink stuff paste then moved on to the spoons. I really enjoyed it.

EggyPegg · 12/10/2020 23:32

@Imissmoominmama Alas no, it's in a purple case. Both DC Kindle Fires present and correct (DS2s in an orange case), but my Paperwhite is nowhere to be found.

@Prokupatuscrakedatus I have been reading a beast of an actual book since August. I vaguely remember looking at my Kindle around early September time and thinking 'I need to put that somewhere safe'. Well, mission accomplished. I've finished my book now and I want to start my next one, which is on my Kindle. Woe.

@soddingkitten I found my missing watch recently when I moved the snails vivarium to clean it out. It had slipped behind. I must have put it on the lid, and it slipped off when I lifted it to feed him.

This thread is showing me that I need to be more Marie Kondo with my things.

EggyPegg · 12/10/2020 23:34

@Champagneforeveryone I suspect that the bed will never arrive and they know this, so are preparing to refund you. Have you given over the sofa or a human bed to DDog1 in the meantime?

MissConductUS · 12/10/2020 23:37

@Champagneforeveryone Amazon charges your payment method when the item ships, at least in the US. If your item is lost in transit they have to refund what you paid as it is their responsibility to get it to you.

I have had this happen and had the item later show up. In those cases Amazon has let me keep it without charging me again, but never for anything very expensive.

That must be a truly remarkable dog bed to sell for 90 quid. 😊

Champagneforeveryone · 13/10/2020 00:58

Fear not, we actually have 3 dogs so DDog1 has several beds to choose from. The new one is an orthopaedic job as he's a bit creaky now.

As for being truly remarkable, I'll get DDog1 to let you know if when it turn up missconduct Grin

HelenaJustina · 13/10/2020 06:43

The mammogram booking comment above prompted me to try and remember to book my smear today.

Spudlet · 13/10/2020 07:55

My teabag ripped this morning, so I got tea leaves in my tea. I was very profligate and tipped it down the sink and made a new one.

We were supposed to be having flu jabs today but they have been cancelled. We aren’t in a vulnerable group, so it doesn’t matter too much though.

Spudlet · 13/10/2020 07:58

I’m going to make beetroot, cranberry and orange muffins today. I know that might sound a bit yoghurt weaving, but they’re actually really yummy and I’m hoping they also still count as sneaking a vegetable into DS when he’s not looking. They count, right?!

Whenwillow · 13/10/2020 08:03

Morning all. I burnt some porridge this morning, but it was salvageable and actually tasted quite pleasant.
I find this thread soothing, especially in the company of 2 sleeping cats.

fatherliamdeliverance · 13/10/2020 08:03

Just managed to fix my hoover. turns out it was a sock stuck behind the brush roll. It got a bit hairy when I got the coat hanger stuck up there but a quick hard yank did the job.

Sunbird24 · 13/10/2020 08:16

I’ve discovered that my hay fever doesn’t manifest itself at my parents’ house, only at mine. My phone autocorrected it to gay fever when I tried to tell my mum this revelation. I am not gay, just very very single, but I suppose I wouldn’t blame her for having wondered.

BillywigSting · 13/10/2020 08:32

I turned the heat on the shower up two notches this morning because dp got the first shower and has his water at approximately 0.01°c.

He did make me coffee again though so there was a cuppa waiting for me when I came downstairs so can't complain really.

Finally feel human after two marathon sleeps so going to do some food shopping and a bit of pottering today.

Need to call the roofer about the guttering (which is new along with the roof) because it's not doing what it's meant to do.

Also need to make sure my df is ok to pick up ds from school on Thursday. We are in Liverpool and have had zero clarity on childcare arrangements from our glorious leader Hmm

Imissmoominmama · 13/10/2020 08:34

I’m still in bed. I have a cat on my chest and a dog at my side. Their snores are very relaxing. There’s not much to get up for as I’m isolating, so I’m going to stay here a while longer.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 13/10/2020 08:36

Bit of a quandary here: W*tabix or Shrddies?

Champagneforeveryone · 13/10/2020 08:51

Definitely the former teriyaki

TenCornMaidens · 13/10/2020 09:21

I'm going to change my sheets.

Squirrel26 · 13/10/2020 09:27

I’m going to make a coffee. Would anyone like one?

Whenwillow · 13/10/2020 09:34

Yes please squirrel. White, no sugar.

I have taken my car for its fortnightly drive to keep the battery charged.
