I'm really not a fan of their food at all, but if I am out and about and in between meals I will have a cheese and onion pasty and that is all, and even then, when I have finished it I wish I had not bothered :)

Ifailed · 24/09/2020 11:03

Nothing, I can't see the point of going to one to get a meal when I have wherewithal to make one at home.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 24/09/2020 11:07

I like a steak bake and a caramel doughnut Grin
Not sure there's any point in commenting if you don't even like/go to Greggs tbf.
Anyway, Merseysiders will tell you that Sayers was better!!

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 24/09/2020 11:08

Cheese and onion bake.

Eckhart · 24/09/2020 11:11

I used to order a steak bake and a flake cake, just because I liked saying it. Then they stopped doing flake cakes, so I don't go there anymore.

TinaTraybake · 24/09/2020 11:12

@Moltenpink
The egg custards were so nice Sad

On an Industrial estate where I work they've just opened a Greggs, flipping nightmare, I know it's shit food but I love the sausage rolls, the bacon butties are good too and their lunch sandwiches are ok but can be a bit dry sometimes

Itwasaquarterpast11 · 24/09/2020 11:24

Badbadbunny · 24/09/2020 11:31

I like their coffee and sausage rolls.

Used to like their vanilla slices (especially the ones with jam) but they seem to have stopped doing them!

FourPlasticRings · 24/09/2020 11:32

Oooh, I do make a special effort every year to get a festive bake from them.

I also like their tuna crunch baguette (shame they don't do it on wholemeal) and their toffee doughnuts with custard in the middle. I do tend to go to Subway for my baguettes instead but the tuna crunch is good in a hurry.

loutypips · 24/09/2020 11:32

I used to work next door to a "special" greggs. It was all the unsold stock from other stores and it was so cheap. They used to do the sandwiches fresh though.
You could get 5 cakes for a pound so very handy on birthdays!

5 sausage rolls for a pound too, so I was shocked when I went in a proper greggs and they were a pound each.

LeSquigh · 24/09/2020 11:33

They do the BEST gingerbread men but they generally sell out so you have to go early. I also like the ring doughnuts, especially the ones with the thick white glaze. Yum Yums also good. And sometimes a slice of pizza.
