What the HELL its going on with my body?!

I've NC'd as I'm so embarrassed.

Backstory;
Went to docs a few months ago because stomach keeps on moving like a baby is in there(I've had two). She looked said I've probably got a more prominent heartbeat there or something. She had a feel and couldn't feel anything like a baby.

I was lying in bed last night and it was like something kicked under my ribs, just like my son used to. I've had it today too and the top half of my stomach looks and feels like a bump but I'm putting that down to weight. I can't lie on my front at night as it's too uncomfortable. Many negative urine tests.

I'm not mentally tricking myself into thinking I'm pregnant. I don't want another baby for many reasons so it's not like I want to believe in it but what the hell is this? It's so similar to when my son used to kick me under my ribs. It doesn't hurt but it's uncomfortable and keeps happening (since last night).

Did the gp do a blood test? I'm sure if you are too far along the urine tests aren't accurate.

Sexnotgender · 21/09/2020 11:39

I think you need another doctors appointment.

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 11:49

I don't even see how I could be pregnant. It's so strange!

You need a scan surely? Maybe it's fibroid or something.

Womanly stuff seems to get ignored or overlooked by many GPs, don't let them fob you off.

steppemum · 21/09/2020 11:54

if the baby is big enough to kick, the GP should ahve been able to feel easily.

There was a thread a while ago like this and many people suggested things that had been going on with their bodies that looked and felt like a baby moving, from wind to hernias.

You need to go bakc to GP

Fredelliottisayfredelliott · 21/09/2020 11:57

I had similar once but it was surgical emphysema. I assume you haven't had any surgeries recently?

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 12:08

No @Fredelliottisayfredelliott Smile

It's uncomfortable but I don't want to waste a GP's time given what's happening with the world. Keep panicking it'll be something like Adipose from Dr Who Grin

Stand tall. Lean back. Feel your pelvis. Not pregnant you won't feel anything.. Over 8 weeks I felt a mound!! If you feel a baby it will be higher!!

Birthdayhat · 21/09/2020 13:36

I had this and GP sent me for an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cancer, it turned out to probably be wind 😳 I have since excluded some things from my diet (for other reasons actually) and it has gone away.

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 14:39

It's hard to think of what it is due to the location. It's like something's trying to get under my bottom ribs on the left side. It's quite uncomfortable Blush

YippeeKayakOtherBuckets · 21/09/2020 14:40

I had this and it was a hiatus hernia and a stomach ulcer.

Quick course of tablets and it was sorted.

pinkbalconyrailing · 21/09/2020 14:42

could be wind
but also could be something else.
did you have a change in bowels or your periods lately?
did your apetite change?
of to the doc I think to rule out ovarian issues

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 14:44

Bowels- could be because it's not particularly pleasant but it's up by my ribs like a baby moving and jabbing underneath Blush

There have been many good and interesting reasons, given for what you seem to be going through, but I think you may need (another?) doctors opinion.
I notice your doctors comments but have they said what the remedy is or are you expected to just live with it?
I am not sure how old you are but have you though having a wellness test to give yourself a once over ?

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 16:29

Will call the doctors on Thursday (day off). Thanks everyone, hope it's nothing sinister Smile will update when I've spoken to them.

Just to add, it's been a lot under my ribs today, really quite uncomfortable. Is there an alien??Grin

FunorFitness · 21/09/2020 16:59

I have had this a few times, once in particular I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant because it was so persistent and just like a baby.

Each time I had a negative test and it went away. Not had it for a good year now actually which ties in with my cleaning up my diet. My ibs symptoms have pretty much gone too.

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 17:05

@FunorFitness like something pushing and wriggling under your ribs, trying to work it's way up? It's surreal when I know I'm not pregnant Shock

Susannahmoody · 21/09/2020 17:21

Appendix?

gubbbbbddaaaa · 21/09/2020 17:25

Have you done a test?

Hangingover · 21/09/2020 17:27

Could be spleenic flexor syndrome. There's a kink in your large bowel just there that can get gas build up.

whatthehellis · 21/09/2020 18:29

Just a bit of info, I'm 23 and have regular periods.

OP posts:
whatthehellis · 22/09/2020 20:14

Hi all. Just a brief update: it's been constant all day and very uncomfortable. Can't feel it externally when I poke where I feel it. Calling doc either tomorrow or Thursday.

Are you not sexually active (sorry if too personal)
