What the HELL its going on with my body?!

I've NC'd as I'm so embarrassed.

Backstory;
Went to docs a few months ago because stomach keeps on moving like a baby is in there(I've had two). She looked said I've probably got a more prominent heartbeat there or something. She had a feel and couldn't feel anything like a baby.

I was lying in bed last night and it was like something kicked under my ribs, just like my son used to. I've had it today too and the top half of my stomach looks and feels like a bump but I'm putting that down to weight. I can't lie on my front at night as it's too uncomfortable. Many negative urine tests.

I'm not mentally tricking myself into thinking I'm pregnant. I don't want another baby for many reasons so it's not like I want to believe in it but what the hell is this? It's so similar to when my son used to kick me under my ribs. It doesn't hurt but it's uncomfortable and keeps happening (since last night).

Oh I totally agree @RantAndDec about the latter but I'm worrying it's something more sinister but not a baby Sad

I have this sometimes (also had 2 babies before). With me it's ibs and wind, so it could be that. Hope nothing serious Flowers

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 23/09/2020 20:21

I'd be asking for a scan, or getting a private one.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 23/09/2020 20:23

How very unsettling for you.

Good luck in the morning Flowers

JamieLeeCurtains · 23/09/2020 20:29

Good luck, @whatthehellis.

This is a bit crap: Went to docs a few months ago because stomach keeps on moving like a baby is in there(I've had two). She looked said I've probably got a more prominent heartbeat there or something. She had a feel and couldn't feel anything like a baby

I mean, she just sent you away? How could you have a more prominent heartbeat in your stomach? Bizarre. You need a thorough investigation.

indecisivewoman81 · 23/09/2020 20:29

@whatthehellis yep even with periods. I have known a few friends who have found out very late on they were pregnant as they were having periods and had no early symptoms. They usually found out when they felt distinctive movement and went for a scan

Westiegirl3 · 23/09/2020 20:37

I'd be getting a urgent private scan, good luck op

Busybee143 · 23/09/2020 21:01

Good luck with the doctors

whatthehellis · 23/09/2020 21:17

Also when I push down, there's no sign of a baby so I really doubt it's that.

Coriandersucks · 23/09/2020 21:24

Push down? Do you mean you’re trying to push it out??

Try not to panic just phone docs as soon as you can tomorrow. Good luck.

Hokeywokey · 23/09/2020 21:27

Push down?

Are you in labour already?

Soulstirring · 23/09/2020 21:29

I’m intrigued, hope you get your answer tomorrow

gamerchick · 23/09/2020 21:32

If your friend can feel something I'd want a scan to check for aortic aneurysm personally. I wouldn't immediately jump to a baby conclusion. Go back to your GP

whatthehellis · 23/09/2020 21:34

@Hokeywokey no in my stomach!

Take a clear blue digital. Then you’ll know for sure.

I second this.
IHateCoronavirus · 23/09/2020 22:23

Tapeworm?

BugCatcher879 · 23/09/2020 22:28

Go back to dr

Sertchgi123 · 23/09/2020 22:28

What did the doctor say?

Phoenix76 · 23/09/2020 22:33

I’ve had similar op but not as intense. I remember my belly “moving” just as if there was a baby in there. This may be a daft question but are you “going to the toilet” normally? The reason I ask is bowels are vast, if you’ve eaten something your body has found hard to digest it will take longer to work it’s way around while causing symptoms you describe. Obviously I’m not a medical expert so I’d agree it needs further investigation but I did find this happened after having kids due to the internal changes it causes. Good luck, we’d be interested to hear what the doctor says.

Candyflosscookie · 23/09/2020 22:34

Didn't the "it wasn't wind it was a baby" saga turn out to be a troll in the end?

OP your GP was useless, please go back and insist on them finding the explanation for you!

PurpleDaisies · 23/09/2020 22:37

If your gp is useless, see someone else at the practice.
