Which items do you always buy branded?

I buy lots of supermarket own brand things and will always give a supermarket brand a go, but some things just don't measure up for me!

Some of the things I always buy the big brand are Birdseye peas and McVities rich tea biscuits.

What are yours?

Nutella
Heinz Ketchup
Heinz baked beans
Barilla pasta

Bourbonbiscuits20 · 19/09/2020 17:36

@PinkSubmarine oh yes forgot about Heinz ketchup for me too! But I always get the cheap pasta Grin

Heinz spaghetti.

All other tinned spaghetti tasted weird to me.

I think that's the only branded thing I buy.

BikeRunSki · 19/09/2020 17:36

Yorkshire teabags

FinallyFluid · 19/09/2020 17:37

Beans

Butter (Kerrygold) use supermarket own brand for cooking.

Birdseye

Mcvities digestives.

Noodles

De Cecco pasta (Lady pasta on here)

Blue Dragon stirfry sauces

Bread

Olive oil

I am sure there is more.....

topcat2014 · 19/09/2020 17:37

Literally nothing. Aldi do their own marmite which I am going to try.

Bourbonbiscuits20 · 19/09/2020 17:38

@DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult impressive!
@BikeRunSki oh yes I'm fussy with teabags too

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 19/09/2020 17:40

Coca Cola. Literally the only branded item I will never swap out

SoManyActivities · 19/09/2020 17:40

Sacla pesto
Green giant sweetcorn

AyDeeAitchDee · 19/09/2020 17:40

Branston Beans

Tampax Pearl (I hate the single use plastic, and used to adore my mooncup. But since motherhood they're my only comfortable option when I can't use pads)

Kenworthington · 19/09/2020 17:41

Nutella
Heinz beans
Heinz ketchup
Marmite
Lavazza ground coffee
Coca Cola
Bon maman jams

Oh yes. Coke Zero too.

Autumnleaves200 · 19/09/2020 17:41

fairydustandpixies · 19/09/2020 17:41

Diet Coke
Pepsi Max
Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets

Fred578 · 19/09/2020 17:42

The only things I really believe are better branded are sauces (ketchup, mayonnaise etc). I tried Asda’s Worcester sauce and it was rubbish in comparison to Lea and Perrins

whirlwindwallaby · 19/09/2020 17:42

Gosh beetroot falafel
Wyke vintage cheddar
Mahi scorpion pepper and passion hot pepper sauce
All for the fussy teen

Bagadverts · 19/09/2020 17:42

Diet Coke
quality tinned tomatoes

MynephewR · 19/09/2020 17:43

Nutella, McCoy's ridge cut steak flavour crisps and Heinz baked beans. I think that's the only things that I wouldn't buy own brand.

I only really get branded items if they are on offer as there are definitely some that I prefer to own brand but not enough to pay the difference unless they are on offer.

AyDeeAitchDee · 19/09/2020 17:43

Ok so now I'm reading the thread I keep realising there are more. 😂

So

Coke Zero

Tampax pearl

Heinz ketchup

HP BBQ

Branston Beans

Kenco for instant coffee.
