Asking for a handhold - DH in ICU

DH was taken into hospital last night with breathing difficulties. It was pretty minor, the paramedics weren't even going to take him in but we insisted. He's now in an induced coma on a ventilator. He's had 2 negative Covid tests so they don't think it's that but they don't know what it is.

I'm falling apart. He's my whole life. We have a 2 year old who is a complete Daddy's girl. I need him so much. I can't even be with him now because of COVID.

Like many others I had been following you and Mike and had to reread your post over and over and over again for my brain to understand the words I was reading.

What a wonderful man Mike sounds like! What beautiful memories you will have of him to share. I hope you have family and/or friends around you at this difficult time. If I could hug you right now, I wouldn't let go.

Oh no I'm so very, very sorry 💐💐💐 There are no sufficient words of comfort, I know. My Dad's experience with Heart Failure was almost identical. He passed the same way. I know the numb inexplicable shock you're feeling right now, although he wasn't my husband.
You may not feel like you can get through this but you will, I promise 🌷
