This is the one where the news remains dull, and all the irons you bought in the last thread have developed limescale.

I had a slice of toast and now I feel a bit sick. It must be because I am low carbing. The toast was worth it though,it was slightly cold and hard so the butter went on the way it used to in a 1990s B&B.

I ordered a wheelbarrow. It came today.

Crane oes and Daddy Long Legs are the same thing. They have excellent noses which you can see if they are on the other side of a window from you.
I like them, they fly like their legs belong to someone else.

SpeedofaSloth · 01/09/2020 21:38

*flies

pinkpetal2 · 01/09/2020 21:39

I have a splinter in my finger

Willowkins · 01/09/2020 21:41

I thought I was doing really well at the gym - walking 3.3 miles an hour and not even out of puff. Then I realised the machine was set to kilometres Blush

Bubbletrouble43 · 01/09/2020 21:43

My tesco delivery was 2 hours early today, which was fantastic as that was the time I wanted it but couldn't book it for. Buzzing about that.

Taswama · 01/09/2020 21:49

I'm going to take the boys to get their haircut tomorrow. Then as a c reward / bribery, we'll get mini fish and chips for lunch.

Taswama · 01/09/2020 21:50

Now worried that should be

their hair cut

happinessischocolate · 01/09/2020 21:50

My ds had a covid test today so work don't want me in until he's had the results, I would enjoy the time off but I had the whole of last week off plus Monday so I'm bored and shouldn't go anywhere incase his test comes back positive.

littlecatfeet · 01/09/2020 21:53

The dog has had an allergic reaction and is wearing a cone to stop him licking his skin off.

Dog+cone=width of every doorway in the house and he likes to follow me about.

HelpOrHindrance · 01/09/2020 21:57

I defrosted a chilli for tea

willowmelangell · 01/09/2020 22:01

My cat just jumped up on the settee.

MaosChaos · 01/09/2020 22:23

Every single sock in my washed laundry pile had a matching partner. No single socks in my house tonight.

firecracker69 · 01/09/2020 22:31

I thought it would be a god idea to put the winter duvet on my bed. Less than 33 minutes in..... the window is wide open. Poor choice in peri menopausal conditions.

Thank you, I feel strangely justified. DH has gone quiet. And I am looking forward to studying their noses.

In other news, I rescued a fly from my gin and tonic. It flew off in a somewhat zigzagging manner.

I’ve cut my toenails. And discovered my dog has fleas.

lborgia · 01/09/2020 22:40

Sat on the drive with a cat I hadn't seen before. She had no tail. As in, she did once, but now she doesn't. I kept thinking she would topple forward because she looked so front-heavy.

She was very very sweet, and I realised not having a tail shouldn't matter. Until she sat on my jeans. They're going in the wash, even though they look ok.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 01/09/2020 23:18

I thought one of my dogs had picked up a tick, but it turned out to be a seed. We all went to the park and kicked a ball around. It was sunny today Smile

mathanxiety · 02/09/2020 08:07

@BillywigSting, there is at least one finger you should lift tonight.

Palavah · 02/09/2020 08:17

I'm developing a massive red spot on my top lip. No head yet so I keep prodding it in the hope that one develops and I can squeeze it.

Spudlet · 02/09/2020 08:18

I ordered DS’s school uniform on the 1st of August. It was supposed to arrive in 21 days. On August the 22nd I got an email saying their supply chains had been hit by COVID and it was going to take longer. Then yesterday, I got an email saying their turnaround time was now 28 days... 32 days after I’d ordered the stuff.

I’m hoping it might arrive in time for him to wear it at his graduation. 👨‍🎓

DXBMermaid · 02/09/2020 08:25

Where to start! The dog has an ear infection and it makes him smell (I took him to the vet and have been given ear drops).
I'm stuck doing home learning with DD again which makes me feel stabby.
I need to buy watermelon and lamb chops.
I'm trying to work out how to make an excel spreadsheet to keep track of house hold spending.
O and the highlight of my day will be sitting in my car alone for an hour whilst DD and DS go to karate.

BillywigSting · 02/09/2020 08:37

'd'p woke me up with fresh coffee today.

He had better be creeping for last night's performance.

Ds got given a p.e kit by the school last year that was too big and probably fits now, but I can't find it. I have a horrible feeling it's been thrown away with the old uniforms.

Allington · 02/09/2020 10:11

I broke the cafetiere and had to mop up coffee and broken glass. It took a couple of minutes out of my day. I'll get another when I pop out for bread and milk later.

BillywigSting · 02/09/2020 10:17

I have found the pe kit but the pumps are too small, nipping out to buy some in a bit. Might treat ds to a milkshake and myself to a coffee while we're out.

WriteHon · 02/09/2020 10:47

There is an art installation in the middle of my living room.

You may see it, of course, as the ironing board that I neglected to take down and put away after using it late yesterday evening, But we all understand that one of the functions of modern art is to provoke discussion . . .

Sorry, I need to move the iron - the balance of the composition isn't quite right.

This might take some time.

Allington · 02/09/2020 11:03

I am sitting waiting for a Zoom meeting that might or might not happen. If it happens, nothing earth shattering will be discussed or decided.
