@CompleteBarstool

I've always liked the way Penhaligon or Houlihan roll off the tongue.

Or the surname of a character from a book I read as a child ....Gotobed

Are you thinking of Carrie's War? Such a lovely book.
Batfinklestein · 23/08/2020 11:55

Appleyard

Toddlerteaplease · 23/08/2020 11:57

I loathe my surname, and always have. I quite fancy Starbuck or Winterhalter.

OneKeyAtATime · 23/08/2020 11:58

Greenfield or something linked to nature for me

Toddlerteaplease · 23/08/2020 11:58

Or Cavendish would also be lovely.

FlamingoAndJohn · 23/08/2020 12:00

My maiden name was long and cumbersome so I vowed I would only date men with surnames of five letters or less. As it happened I did. Unfortunately one of them was Pratt.
Long names that you have to spell out are a pain. Especially when people think they know better and leave a letter out.

rottiemum88 · 23/08/2020 12:00

I always wanted to be a Grosvenor

bumblenbean · 23/08/2020 12:01

For some reason I think Clutterbuck is awesome. Although it does sound a little like cluster-fuck Grin

A school friend’s surname was Peace which I always thought was cool

mrswhiplington · 23/08/2020 12:01

There was a woman on the news last week and her surname was Debonnaire. Sounds lovely.

I like Fairfax plus another vote for Cavendish.

Depends what your first name is really.

Xmasfairy86 · 23/08/2020 12:06

Bloom

When I was younger I always wanted a simple surname like Smith or Jones. Mine needed spelling every time 🙄

Pascha · 23/08/2020 12:10

I knew a lady with surname Bliss. When she married her husband took her surname so they are Mr and Mrs Bliss which I think is lovely.

itssquidstella · 23/08/2020 12:11

Kingsley

twoofusburningmatches · 23/08/2020 12:12

Hamilton. I think it's classy.
Good luck finding your new name!

There was a family in he village where I grew up whose name was Goodenough. I quite like that.

ladycarlotta · 23/08/2020 12:27

@Wolfgirrl

I once read on MN somebody had seen a headstones where the person's surname was Flowerbuttons. Imagine being Mrs Flowerbuttons!
Recently I noticed the art director on a period drama I was watching has the surname Honeybun. I think that's my new favourite.
