When they see you on the balcony and when they see you drive in and out the gates

Wish I was a multi millionaire too !!

Is it anyone allowed to have fun? Can they only have fun if they don't discuss it? Do threads all have to be about suffering & how others are struggling? Can someone share something fun if they are struggling?

NiceGerbil · 09/08/2020 16:59

Lol at daisy.

Some people 🙄

backseatcookers · 09/08/2020 17:02

@daisychain01

Someone literally posted about having a nice time staying in a posh house. That's it. You turned the tone of this thread with a needlessly aggressive and odd post. Your prerogative of course, but really strange thing to do.

OP has no obligation whatsoever to explain her circumstances to you or anyone else. My point was that a decent person wouldn't have the audacity to tell them they aren't allowed to enjoy themselves, because they are a stranger posting on an Internet forum and you're perfectly able to just ignore or hide the thread if you don't like it.

I have no idea why you're so angry about that but I genuinely hope you feel better soon because you sound absolutely full of rage about a lighthearted thread that caused no harm whatsoever, to the point of your rage being almost disturbing.

backseatcookers · 09/08/2020 17:04

Oh and @daisychain01 the OP came back three times, just not with a full breakdown of their medical history of whatever else it would require for you to deem them worthy of enjoying something and posting about it anonymously on a public forum. They didn't run into your living room with a t shirt saying "I'm having a la de da time" did they? Calm down.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 09/08/2020 17:14

daisychain01 I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, and an abusive marriage, two of my children have died, I have just been diagnosed with cancer and cannot get treatment properly yet due to covid, I can't work at the minute and am over a thousand pounds a month down, which is a huge amount for me.

I'm still pissed off that Hollyoaks isn't on until autumn, and I won't know how Mitchell and Scott's wedding will go until then, and I still got unreasonably happy because the Americans are doing a eurovision type contest this year.

Just because massive stuff is happening, it doesn't mean the petty stuff doesn't have an impact as well.

canigooutyet · 09/08/2020 17:22

I live in London, I walk past properties worth million plus on a daily basis, I'm sure a lot of other Londoners do.

Although when one of the property threads pop up, some I would love to go and see, because they cannot look as bad as they do on the photos. Love it when mates are house hunting lol, we go and ask to see those 😂

Inexpertjuggler · 09/08/2020 17:25

I know... I dated a billionaire for a while, and occasionally visited where he lived. I used to think ‘ yeah check me out’ when the massive gates swung open, and loved the look of the lit up, landscapes gardens. I could ^feel^ People looking. I’ll admit it- I really liked it. When we were out somewhere, he was just an ordinary bloke. Apart from the fuss everyone made of him of course, and never having to book anywhere, but, walking down the street.. yeah, just ordinary

deandra · 09/08/2020 17:33

Nobody cares!

Callipygion · 09/08/2020 17:47

Are you Meghan Markle?

Snort loudly laughing 😂😂😂

Worstyear2020 · 09/08/2020 17:59

I like to be a millionaire but i would definitely be living in a remote place where people can't stare.

Sheilasfeels · 09/08/2020 18:03

I don't know why everyone is being a dick about this. I remember when I spent the night at a new friend's flat in Kensington, and the Queens horses would be walked down this road each morning. Maybe that doesn't mean much to anyone else, but that experience was a whole universe away from my normal life and so felt incredibly exciting.

Carriecakes80 · 09/08/2020 18:04

Yeah? Well I'm inside my tiny 2 bed house, with my husband making me a cheese toastie singing along to Blurs Park life, the kids are playing out in the garden, the dog is laying on his back hating the heat, the cats are hissing at one another as theres only a few Dreamies left and my slippers have a fat stain on them from when I dropped the dogs Trachea bone thing from Pets @ Home on them, and I'm as happy as a Pig in Poo!

You can keep your weekend trip to a multi million pound house, which in this country probably means a crappy 3-bed in London!
lol

Carriecakes80 · 09/08/2020 18:06

Lol this is such click bait lol

MollyMinniesMum · 09/08/2020 18:45

You’re loving it aren’t you?

MyWitzEnd · 09/08/2020 18:57

They are probably thinking "there is that jackass off mumsnet standing on the balcony pretending she lives there"

Her1mum · 09/08/2020 18:57

Is this what they call a “Humblebrag”? 😉

Diva66 · 09/08/2020 19:02

This thread is hilarious, really cheered me up!

My house has a balcony and it’s overlooking a tourist attraction, when people stare I just wave at them. I stare at interesting buildings myself.

I’m not a multi millionaire, sadly.

FelicisNox · 09/08/2020 19:07
Hmm
itsgettingweird · 09/08/2020 19:09

Neon I immediately thought sandbanks too.

Then thought actually if I'd driven 3 hours to find I couldn't even get within miles of a beach car park and could bare,y get on the beach I'd be staring with jealousy too.

But then I live 10 minutes drive from a quite beach and have loved going there for years. I do have a look at the posh houses on the front every time though though to see if I can work out what type of people live there Grin

mytitshaveshrunk · 09/08/2020 19:31

Daisychain01

I mean this in the nicest possible way, really I do, seek help for your mental health xXx

Celestine70 · 09/08/2020 19:44

What is the point of this post?

Nicolastuffedone · 09/08/2020 19:48

Enjoy OP!

Jeeperscreepers69 · 09/08/2020 20:12

They stare because you dont belong and rich people dont normally brag. Its a vulgar trait. By the way ive had a barbie for tea guys @Lardlizard

Wilkie1956mog · 09/08/2020 20:16

Oh dear. First world problems, eh?
