The DH wants to watch a 2010 film called rubber, it's about a tyre that goes on a murder rampage.
Wtaf....... Shall I divorce him or torture him by getting him to watch something even more bizarre?

Either Fierce Creatures or Meet Joe Black. Had high hopes for Fierce Creatures due to the cast, but it was terrible. I think Meet Joe Black might just top it though, as it was so, so long. So long, in fact, there was an interval at the chain cinema I went to see it in, which I'd never come across before!

Watching Gravity gave me motion sickness. In the end I just had to close my eyes which was a blessed relief from the tedium.

Young Einstein
To be fair, I didn't have high hopes for it so it delivered exactly what I expected.

Lost in Translation & The English Patient
I really wanted to like these two films but they were so dull and boring and the biggest waste of time.

Sabrina (the modern one)
That was contrived and just "dial it in" and wondered why anyone bothered.

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 20/07/2020 19:59

Vanilla Sky

Ohffs66 · 20/07/2020 20:03

Constantine with Keanu Reeves and Tilda Swinton. It was years ago but I still remember getting to the end and being annoyed I'd wasted 2 hours on it.

Boilingbunny · 20/07/2020 20:09

Agreed with The English Patient, Shape of Water and The Talented Mr Ripley. I’d also like to add Moulin Rouge (even the mere mention of it makes me squirm in pain and embarrassment).

WokusPocus · 20/07/2020 20:14

I found Down with Love excruciating.

The film linked above with David Tennant and Billy Connolly. Utter shite

DotDotDotty · 20/07/2020 20:16

Birdman... Hours of my life in not getting back. I'm angry just thinking about it.

Kiki275 · 20/07/2020 20:17

Hail Caesar! In fact anything Coen brothers.

Krook · 20/07/2020 20:17

Waterworld.

WokusPocus · 20/07/2020 20:19

Also agree with the poster who said Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - self conscious, pretentious cobblers.

Elderflower14 · 20/07/2020 20:24

@derxa I took Ds2 to see WWDOOH with his best friend... He sadly found his Dad dead in bed many years ago and he got very emotional and sad watching it... His friend really enjoyed it...

Andylion · 20/07/2020 20:26

Zardoz, with Sean Connery.

Elderflower14 · 20/07/2020 20:28

Couldnt understand a word. JB was mumbling.... Q

derxa · 20/07/2020 20:34

Elderflower Sad I didn't like the film because of its portrayal of Scotland. However its approach to death was good.

BlueRaincoat1 · 20/07/2020 20:36

Die Hard 5 (and I say that as a long-standing Die Hard fan. So so disappointing.)
Sex and the City 2 (excruciatingly cringey and unwatchable)
Bicentennial Man and Patch Adams (probably the worst Robin Wiliams films? A very bad period for him...)

Elderflower14 · 20/07/2020 20:46

@derxa If I'd known the death part was in it I wouldn't have taken him... Absolutely no clue in the trailer.

Thomas and the Magic Railroad ( the horror, the horror!)
Gerard Depardieu and Andie McDowell in Green Card, awful!

Germolenequeen · 20/07/2020 22:05

Thomas and the Magic Railroad ( the horror, the horror!)

Oh Lord yes - that was so so bad 😱

Germolenequeen · 20/07/2020 22:06

Loved Bicentennial Man

katew355 · 20/07/2020 22:16

A film called 'Three Strikes' which has Gareth from the office in it. Premise was a tube driver thought he could retire on full pay if three people jumped in front of his train so he 'recruits' a suicidal man to do it. As if that isn't bad enough, he ends up getting it on with Gemma Areterton which is so unrealistic it made my blood boil....
