Had a fab weekend. Ate out and went to see friends.
Quality of life over quantity.

countrygirl99 · 20/07/2020 10:50

@Nothingiswrong - unless the spider had Covid there was nothing sad about it's demise. It merely died.

Ibake · 20/07/2020 10:51

This is a really good news story. How many treatment options do we need on the table before we say back to normal, we can treat you if you get it.

@Worldgonecrazy

This is a daft question but does it feel not too bad once you start swimming? It’s that ankle deep bit that is so cold it hurts my joints. I find it really difficult to get past that bit.
Kind of but I think that's because I went numb 😂

Mascotte hope you have a lovely holiday. Where are you heading off to again?

ILoveTotoro · 20/07/2020 11:34

@Mascotte

Morning, ADs. I need your ad spirits today as am sinking into dementory doom and anxiety and feeling something bad is going to happen. I need to pick myself up as I'm leaving for the holiday tomorrow!
Good morning mascotte (and everyone!!)

I hope you're feeling a bit better now ...I'm having a similar day today, feeling anxious and out of sorts. has anyone else lost actual friends over this? I have - found out this morning when I went on fb and found I'd been blocked by 2 people Sad

countrygirl99 · 20/07/2020 11:49

Loving the Dominic Raab thread where posters are saying he probably got his tan sitting in the garden. It would explain a lot if the cabinet have been spending their time sunbathing 😂

Orangeblossom78 · 20/07/2020 12:04

I have been enjoying this site today

www.window-swap.com

Random people's windows across the world

SockYarn · 20/07/2020 12:09

Emirates have re-started their daily flights into Glasgow which approach the airport over my house.

It's another sign that normality is returning.

Some brilliant masks on this site.

Worldgonecrazy · 20/07/2020 12:29

Argh. Fucking Jeremy Vine and his dementoring about compulsory vaccines. Some people are really thick and do not understand ‘thin end of the wedge’ and bodily autonomy. Probably the same fucking thick idiots who are pro death penalty because the courts never get it wrong. He really is the worst sort of money grabbing populist arsehole. Sorry rant over. He has really wound me up today with his ratings chasing dross!

SockYarn · 20/07/2020 12:35

THE BBC ARE NOT SHOWING NIPPY NICOLA'S DAILY DEATHCOUNT!

Whether it's just not happening any more, or the BBC have watched the plummeting viewing figures and decided Bargain Hunt is a better bet, who cares? It's not on any more!

Woooo hooooo!!

Dowser · 20/07/2020 12:39

Feeling quite a bit of depression today.
Not sleeping well
Hate the new abnormal
Saw this video on why masks are ineffective and in some cases dangerous ...and has left me feeling just why
It’s 8 mins, shows Chris Whitty saying they don’t do much/ ineffective
Dr Fauci also
And shows those nasty blue ones being made in a filthy sweat shop..
Good Lord...you could pick some up from those

Grin bet you thought you’d still be subjected to it in 2030!
rookiemere · 20/07/2020 12:46

Sockyarn I think the daily lack of sadly death show has been moved to twice weekly. Somewhat inconvenient as an update on the Spanish quarantine issue was promised today, but as it's unlikely to be removal thereof based on increased numbers, then better not to have her on.

Amazingly all my English relatives think she's ace, as they all have their lunch break at the same time as the Scottish briefings so were eulogising about how well spoken she was compared to the UK alternative now where on earth is Theresa May when you need her? It seems it doesn't much matter what you do as how you express it.

New unwanted likely outcome of covid crisis - bloody Scottish independence.

@Mascotte
Feeling a bit the same myself and I Am on fecking holiday
Are you travelling solo?
Would you like to post your itinerary so we can do it with you and you don’t feel so alone

A travelogue?
That would be awesome
I’ve done the journey many times...I was the navigator so should have a good grasp on where you are

Dowser · 20/07/2020 12:52

@ILoveTotoro
Thank you
I didn’t realise my mental health was so fragile till this shit the fan

profpoopsnagle · 20/07/2020 13:03

Loving that window site, currently looking at a downpour of rain in India.

Similar to the fire alarm, we had an urgent safeguarding message from our academy trust 3 weeks before the end of term, reminding us to give CPR if needed to any child, even if it meant our Covid risk went up! We'd been in school since March, and would have done it if needed.

Mascotte · 20/07/2020 13:14

Thanks ADs- I knew you'd reassure me!

I was going solo as DP was dementory, but FOMO took over so he's coming too.

We're driving to France, not far from Calais and staying in a really cute looking cottage in a tiny village (but with a bakery!)

I think I feel worse as it all looks so lovely and I feel guilty for not being excited! Thinking about it though, I am prone to preholiday anxiety even in normal times so hopefully will be fine when I'm packed and en route, as they say in France.

The window site kept DS occupied this morning uploading our own window...ten minutes it needs...

Orangeblossom78 · 20/07/2020 13:16

I heard in general the deaths are not being reported know due to uncertainty over the recording- that was England though..

Mascotte · 20/07/2020 13:18

And thanks to @Dowser and all those feeling fed up... I can be anxious but I've never felt depressed before. Horrible feeling. Im quite cheery normally.

I'm also convinced the Scottish schools won't go back as normal given the views of teachers and the noises from Swinney. So I should enjoy this while I can!

You know what baffles me reading comments across the media.

Brexiteers = anti dementors + anti mask wearers + lockdown breakers

Remainers = dementors + mask wearers + shielding for the good of the lady in the next town who is vulnerable.

Why have they lumped them all together?

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 20/07/2020 13:31

Because people lack critical thinking skills and tribalism is currently rampant.

justasking111 · 20/07/2020 13:34

You cannot get more tribal than the welsh, and they voted out but they will tell you anyone with english blood or an incomer should not have been allowed to vote but only those of pure welsh blood. {grin]
