Amber Heard & Johnny Depp....Your thoughts?

I have seen this in the news over the past couple of days and wasn't really sure what to think. It sounds to me like a very volatile relationship and it may be that they are both abusers. Or at the least they are completely incompatible with each other.

Today I noticed that Amber Heard was walking into court and she had a scarf around her face. Then she removed the scarf and smiled for everyone and waved and seemed to enjoy the cameras being there. It's just an observation but maybe the accusations of her being a narcissist could be accurate? Or is she maybe trying to put a brave face on it all under what must be a very stressful situation for all concerned?

Johnny Depp kept his mask on but was also waving for the cameras I should add.

Anyway, I'm well aware it's none of my business really, it was just something I had thought about after seeing the news today and wondered what others thought!

She doesn’t seem to be coming across well in the witness box but it may be different in person. Her testimony sounds very confused ‘I threw pots and pans at him but only in self defence but I don’t admit to throwing anything’. She seems to be all over the place and a bit of a car crash for the Sun.

I've just caught up with what's happened so far today. She's coming across as a liar. I still believe that she was the instigator and he retaliated.

I’m waiting for the transcripts. Glad to see she’s showing herself for the liar she is though.

I think Amber is coming across badly. I hope she is a liar, because that is the impression she is giving.

I've not been following this but after reading about what her ex-PA has said about her and the sexual assault story it seems to me that Amber is happy to make up all kinds of shit.

The woman cross examining her (Eleanor Law) is a domestic abuse and sexual violence specialist - I suspect that is why!

I thought it sounded as if she came across better this afternoon (not so chaotic and contradictory). I suspect it will come down to who the judge finds the more credible witness - don’t envy being in his shoes.

She isn’t coming across so well......not sure I would remember dates/times or specific convos following the dv relationship I was part of either though tbh, still definitely happened.

I don't know how on earth the judge can possibly read through this mountain of work subjectively, when it seems there is little hard evidence and is all he said, she said!!

@Ohsuchaperfectday I agree about the texts and the he said/she said. The phone recordings give the most accurate story, there’s no doubt amongst what’s being said on them.

She goes all round the houses every time she’s caught in a lie.

She said the phone record was out of context and she said she made things up to placate him and lied and he lied about the monster to placate her!!

I didn't understand the emails re the Laura person.

She called his lawyer an arse hole but then there are more emails where she says she stands by her statement?

It sounded like she was utterly lying to placate heard and keep on her good side on heard recording.

I saw that on Twitter, she’s literally copying what him and his security team said about things they had to do to placate her. There’s no taking those recordings out of context, they speak for themselves. The only thing she berates him for is walking away from their arguments- hardly the stance of an abused woman. I bet that’s why she insisted on being there everyday when she didn’t need to be.

Sorry, could you explain how your first sentence in the quote above is the cause of her being in court everyday? (I agree that she didn’t need to be in court whilst until she gave her evidence this week).

The first sentence isn’t relevant to the last. I was saying she copied the “placating” thing from JD and his security team, that’s probably why she wanted to be there everyday.

She is copying the answers of JD and his team from their evidence, basically.

No, I’m saying she’s downright copied the answers. The word “placate” was constantly used by JD and the other witnesses. She’s now doing the same. That’s what narcissistic sociopaths do, it’s called mirroring and projecting.

If the police failed to notice any facial bruising or smashed household items at the scene when AH was supposed to have been hurt then they were either negligent or bribed or there was no obvious bruising/property damage.

That should be investigated.

I think that's the key event. It could potentially show AH to be either innocent or guilty of faking being attacked.

It seems to be well known amongst her associates/staff that she appeared fine and without bruising after she was allegedly attacked. There are verbal accounts and a few photos that suggest no visible facial bruising.

It could be make-up covering it up. The bruising may have been missed by the police. The alleged damage at the property is not likely to have been missed though.

AH's ex employees on the whole don't seem to like her and are biased against her. JD has better relations with his staff, they are all more like long term friends/almost family. They are all biased too. I don't think any of their evidence can be trusted.

JD's interactions with people seem better whereas AH doesn't seem to be well received - she doesn't seem to be very likeable. That doesn't mean she deserves to be beaten up.

It seems increasingly likely she was unfaithful in their marriage but that still isn't an excuse for domestic abuse.
