What is the best or most original name you have known for a family pet or other animal?

I used to know a yellow Labrador called Briggs. Admittedly, that was the name on the tag on his collar so was most likely the name of his family. But it seemed to suit him ( as far as I was concerned) so he was always Briggs to me, whatever his actual name may have been. If I ever have a male yellow Labrador, he will be called Briggs.

Years ago we lived next door to a family with a black lab called havoc - she was lovely but apparently as a puppy her name suited her well... that’s one that’s always stuck in my mind!

My cat is called Cheddar. It really suits her. She was adopted with that name. So I can't take credit!

Have friends with horses - all recently acquired titles in addition to their names (eg penny is now ‘dowager countess penny’ etc). This has led to lengthy discussions amongst that horsey lot as to order of precedence amongst titles. Strangely diverting. Feel rather sorry for the humble ‘sirs’ out riding with full on royalty including International titles - there is a ‘tzar’ etc.
