By the FBI.

Some good need for a change.

She hasnt got bail

deepwatersolo · 14/07/2020 22:30

Excellent.

Unless she didn't get bail because it would be easier to off her in jail.

(No, Epstein didn't kill himself.)

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/07/2020 14:25

I've read that they are moving her around the prison on a daily basis to minimise the risk of someone bumping her off. It's a long time until her trial next year...

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/07/2020 17:11

So glad I'm not the only one that occurred to Wink

Viviennemary · 15/07/2020 17:13

I assumed she didnt get bail because they were afraid she'd do a runner.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/07/2020 17:38

I think that's probably the official version, Vivienne

However to borrow a phrase, "other scenarios are available" Wink

Viviennemary · 15/07/2020 18:07

I've just read she got married but won't say who her husband is . Don't know if that's been mentioned here.

Mightymurphy · 15/07/2020 18:38

Deepwatersolo what evidence do you have that he didn’t kill himself?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/07/2020 19:19

US attorney Alison Moe also claimed in court that Maxwell was being evasive in discussing her finances with pre-trial services, claiming that she earns a “monthly income of nothing, zero dollars per month of income”. Maxwell also allegedly claimed that she “does not know the name of the corporation” that bought the sprawling property, “but … was just permitted to stay in the house”

Errr ... she's not very credible is she? Hmm

Viviennemary · 15/07/2020 19:45

I thought you were going to say she didn't know the name of her husband. Grin. It takes see no evil hear no evil to a different level.

deepwatersolo · 15/07/2020 20:36

Deepwatersolo what evidence do you have that he didn’t kill himself?

  1. The lawyer who met him before his death didn't have the impression that Epstein was suicidal. (www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/jeffrey-epstein-suicide-death-lawyer-david-schoen-a9400326.html)
  1. The autopsy ordered by his brother concluded evidece points to homicide. www.nytimes.com/2019/10/30/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-homicide-autopsy-michael-baden.html
  1. In fact the injury (boken bone in the neck) happens very rarely in suicides (but frequently in strangulation). Given that Epstein's bed was quite low (precisely so people can't hang themselves), it is unlikely the 'hanging' (during which he would have had to kneel) would have generated that force.
  1. The coincidences are ridiculous (2 cameras malfunctioning, one with unusable footage, no checks for many hours though 30 minutes intervals were prescribed), and why - after he had allegedly made one suicide attempt already - didn't he have sheets to hang himself with?

This is a good overview.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Jeffrey_Epstein

And add to all this that Epstein was a man who sure had many tales to tell - from his mysteriously gained wealth to his openly lived paedophilia, while the who is who of society as well as prosecutors just looked on (or maybe more)... His death sure made a lot of people happy.

Obviously, I can't prove it, but occam's razor suggests it was murder.

deepwatersolo · 15/07/2020 20:38

So glad I'm not the only one that occurred to

Right!?!?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/07/2020 22:34

deepwatersolo it's actually even worse than that, since the camera evidence from his first "suicide attempt" is also unavailable

Reportedly it was first deemed to be missing, was then discovered by jail staff and found to have focused on the wrong area, and finally said to no longer exist due to "technical errors"

NoisyNeighours · 15/07/2020 22:35

It’s so weird that she is saying she’s married but won’t say who to.

Surely this is public information? Confused

NoisyNeighours · 15/07/2020 22:37

I mean, how can anyone be secretly married? Aren’t these records available to everyone?

deepwatersolo · 15/07/2020 22:52

Puzzledandpissedoff oh, I missed that part. The whole thing is ridiculous. I mean, if you buy into the 'official narrative', Epstein must basically have been the Houdini of self-killings.
(And yet, couldn't manage his life without a 'secretary' organizing literally everything for him, even his 'sex' life.)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/07/2020 22:59

how can anyone be secretly married? Aren’t these records available to everyone?

I believe most US states require a licence to get married and presumably that info's available, but unless it's sent upwards to one single body they'd have to search the records of every single state and they may or may not feel that's worthwhile

deepwatersolo I've no idea how many people really believe Epstein killed himself (though I don't suppose it's many) but it's proving it which would matter - and I don't suppose that would be easy

deepwatersolo · 15/07/2020 23:24

but it's proving it which would matter - and I don't suppose that would be easy

Actually, it wouldn't even matter if one could prove it. The guy who did the deed would be the fall guy, and we'd still not know who ordered it and why... Oh well.

TSSDNCOP · 16/07/2020 00:12

I wonder if Andrew cut a deal with the FBI to give up her whereabouts.

Could be the mystery husband isn't American, although not Andrew. Possibly in yet another country with no extradition but short visa timeframes.

She's a total flight risk with multiple passports but also, I would bet, not afraid of suicide as an exit strategy.

EachandEveryone · 16/07/2020 11:03

I wonder if her siblings have anything to do with her?

DGRossetti · 16/07/2020 11:13

Her fathers demise was mysterious too.

If she should "suicide" in a facility that has "Robert(s)" in the name, then I will have to start believing in God. Well a God. With a sense of humor.

DGRossetti · 17/07/2020 16:20

US law prevents spouses testifying against each other.

AuntMasha · 17/07/2020 17:04

@EachandEveryone

I wonder if her siblings have anything to do with her?
Some media reports have said that her personal guard was organised by one of her brothers.

I’m wondering if her secret marriage has something to do with her legal strategy.

gluteustothemaximus · 21/07/2020 00:12

So the judge who was handed the case just 4 days ago, her son has been murdered.

And the hit man who did it, apparently committed 'suicide'.

This shit is insane.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 21/07/2020 08:54

You couldn't make it up @gluteustothemaximus! How utterly grim :-(. I suspect GM was crying less for not getting bail than knowing that sooner or later she's going to be bumped off.
