My partner has turned yellow and I am scared

Over the last couple of weeks his skin and eye whites have turned yellow, he also has dark urine which has not improved despite upping his fluid intake by at least an extra 2 litres a day, he is more tired than usual too. I don't want to scare myself witless and Google. He has called the GP and is having blood tests tonight.

I just thought I’d mention, I went to a study day for pancreatic cancer recently at Addenbrookes (led by their lead medical team) and we had a talk by a lovely man who was I think 8 years post whipples and was living a really good quality life. There is hope so don’t let you or your husband give up Flowers

I’m so sorry bloodywhitecat. I hope the fact it is contained within the pancreas is positive for prognosis?

Thank you, I have read some very positive stories on the pancreatic cancer website too, I am hoping DP gets the best possible outcome.

I'm sorry @bloodywhitecat for what you're both going through. My dad had bile duct cancer but it was very late when we found it.

A friend of mines dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the summer and had the whittles procedure. He got the news last week that the cancer has gone and he needs no more treatment. Someone is watching over him and I wish the same for you too x

I am sorry about your dad, for a while we thought DP had bile duct cancer. I think the one blessing is as far as we know it is still very contained so I am trying to blank out the statistics and go with the good news stories so thank you for sharing about your friend's dad, long may he stay well.

Yes - so is this one. This thread was started in 2020, the other one is from 2022. It is the same OP.

It's such a shame @bloodywhitecat - you can't tell sometimes how things will turn out but hope for the best. I'm hoping over time the lovely memories will take precedence
