Gosh. Have I just found my people?! I wondered what on Earth the thread was about until I opened and got the gist. How have I not known about these threads?!

I live in Scotland and the Queen of Dementors is in charge and I can’t bear to listen.

@InsaneInTheViralMembrane and @HesterShaw1 we were at a re-enactment at Corfe Castle in Dorset a year or so back and there was a helicopter going round....and round....and round...all night.
Turned out they were looking for a walker who'd gone up the castle mound (I HATE THAT FUCKER - walking up it with a toddler and a DH carrying my weaving stuff, in authentic footwear is the stuff of nightmare) in the dark....
...and fallen into the nettles. All the way down. Trapped in a nettle patch with a broken ankle iirc, overnight

My aunt died yesterday.
She was in her 70s, had had covid and then recovered. Discharged from hospital weeks ago. So she beats covid and then dies. It's so bloody unfair.

Well i slept pretty well for once. Late to bed but fell asleep pretty quickly and woke at 5.30, thought sod that and went back to sleep till 7.30. Have got up in hopes I will sleep as good tonight too. Not sure if it was my flower remedies or the extra glass of wine I had😉 (tbh wine doesnt usually seem to make me sleep though so fingers crossed)

Foggy and wet so there goes the grass field cutting. My hand is aching from all the damm cleaning at work so not keen to start sanding and painting. Will see how it goes.

@PickAChew I buy a lot of East End spices in bulk and am also missing my Indian grocer at the local market. I have found some online supplies but its not easy. Thanks for the tip about Fennel seeds I'll try that. Tonight is curry night in the Tarts household. Lamb and Chillis (Anjum Anand) and Cauliflower curry (random recipe supplied with the veg box sometime ago that we love).

I was watching Marty Lewis last night, and he was talking about the SE grant, you can only claim if you cannot work after the 14 July. Is this date going to be of some significance? Like things relaxing from the 4th, all systems go by the 14th?

Mascotte our local pub was getting geared up for opening the beer garden from Monday and my friend who worked at the council thought the playgrounds would open from today. I suspect the pub thing is because it would look really bad if they were open and schools are still a shambles. For whatever reason it's a bit of a blow as was hoping to have a team reunion at the pub next Friday evening and it can't happen for a bit . Ho hum.

I’m going to be doing some good murdering today. I promised DD I’d take her shopping, but that really just means the book shop and maybe a hot chocolate because she isn’t interested in much else other than Japanese kawaii stuff, which is in short supply in our town. However I really need a couple of new tops as lockdown seems to have shrunk all my clothes so I’m going to take myself shopping in the morning and take DD in the afternoon, therefore undoubtedly killing a small costal town’s worth of the elderly.
