I was thinking it might be helpful to have a list of holiday companies that have refunded without fuss.
It would certainly influence my choice when booking in the future.

I was booked to go away with Lastminute.com. Although the refund did take a little longer than it should to come through I got every penny back.

BA refunded and were amazing/ helpful all the way through. I was super impressed and so grateful this year I hadn’t booked through TUI like usual who I understand have been pretty quiet.

I’m about to get into a “discussion” with a uk based holiday let company who have said no refunds, claim on your insurance.

Home Away refunded our accommodation immediately, as did Disney and Expedia. Brussels air and American Airlines have been terrible - stonewalling, no phones open, ignoring emails.
Worst of all are the horrendous Top Villas. Aggressive, rude, made several personal attacks on my character, said the villa was available and we were welcome to go and stay when there was no way to leave the UK or get into the US at that time. I am pursuing them thru my credit card. Nasty bastards.

Ryanair rubbish, kept pushing voucher. Raised a dispute with PayPal and money back in my account within 10 days.

I had a refund from cottages.com. Very long wait on hold several times, and relatively poor communication overall, but when I finally spoke to a human it was quick and painless.

@fuckinghellthisshit that is interesting about topvillas. We always use them for Orlando and spend ££££ with them. That's food for thought.

This is a really good idea. I’ve only been reading complaints up until now. It is really helpful to see which companies are communicating well and refunding.

Full refund from TUI this week, was supposed to travel end of May so not too bad! Have another holiday booked for end of the year with Hays Travel so waiting to see if that will be going ahead or getting refunded. Also had full refund from Air bnb for a UK weekend away in the summer holidays.

Center parcs.

Offer was full refund or rebook with 100 off new dates.

We chose to rebook for next year and got about 20 back as changed it to a week instead of midweek.

Air France / klm were not very good and are only offering vouchers.
UK holiday cottages I’d booked direct were much more flexible, as were hotels I’d booked direct with in India.

Sunpool villas gave the deposit back, no trouble. In fact, they did it without asking. That promplted me to book with them again at the end of the year

Ryanair gave vouchers despite me asking for a refund. I started a credit card chargeback but cancelled it and rebooked. They still owe me 50 quid which I doubt I will see

The above was for May. I have another holiday booked for August but not heard anything yet.

No refunds here for both Ryanair (via On The Beach) or Jury's Inn Hotel. Holiday was meant to be 24th May for a week. As the flights were booked via On The Beach, they have told us they have requested the refund on our behalf from Ryanair but are unable to give us a timescale. It's not a huge amount but still, if the holiday industry want us to start rebooking holidays then giving us our money back might help!Angry

Sykes holidays. They only reply if you kick off on Facebook first. To stop them taking full amount for holiday I cancelled so they lifted full deposit (I originally paid low deposit)
I have tried contacting them to discuss perhaps just paying say half deposit but all communication are ignored

Good to hear about Jet2. I had a flight with them last year and was impressed.
Given the response here I would think about booking a whole holiday through them now.

Lastminute did drag their heels rather but we were due to fly in early April when everything was still up in the air.

Requested a refund from virgin end of April. They said refund will take 90 days, so should be back in the account end of July. They did try pushing vouchers/to delay the holiday, but I guess that’s to

Andante Travels originally promised a full refund but backtracked and offered vouchers or a refund voucher redeemable next year. I am pursuing them through my credit card company.

Trailfinders - full refund, no quibble. They contacted us first, sailing they were refunding anyone travelling in March and April on 15 March
Crieff Hydro - refund offered, but we chose the option to carry over our credit for 12 months.

Avoid DreamWorld Travel, originally found through SkyScanner. We were meant to fly in April, have had very little communication from them and they don't respond, and they're trying to charge us a £70 admin fee because the airline cancelled the flights. I've claimed through my credit card now and I'm waiting for my refund from them.

Virgin Holidays. Refunds currently taking up to 100+ days. I did a chargeback with my credit card yesterday. Money showing pending back already.
I’ve always really liked the Virgin brand but unlikely to rebook. I am in a fb group full of people utterly irate at not getting refunds. The worst thing is the total lack of information or anyone replying to any emails/calls/WhatsApp.
