I only distrust dementors who claim to have friends in the NHS who've definitely confirmed that a second wave is inevitable, and it's going to be far worse than this

I mentioned on a previous thread that I spoke to a man in the check-out queue at Aldi who said that his girlfriend works for a big local hospital and she says the first wave hasn’t hit yet.

I didn't think, though, that it was likely he could pull a consultant, so I wasn't as awe-struck as he'd obviously hoped.

Good to see you all. I remembered back to page 2 that flocking had been requested!

DD BFF called round and they went for a lovely bike ride this afternoon. Both are v anxious about starting high school in sept without all this shite on top.

But then I saw an angry face on fb from a friend commenting on English people coming to our welsh parks ( we're 5 miles from border). This same friend had at least 3 if not 4 different families over for her twins birthday the other week at the same time. Just so fucking hypocritical. 😡😡

I have to stop myself commenting as I'll lose all my friends at this rate!

The one positive about this period is the meet up stories. I’m a bit drunk and they make me tear up! For any new members at night I’m a bit maudlin but about 10-12:30 you can catch me on the upswing! That’s a big improvement on where these lovely people picked me up from!

Hi, just checking in. I've half lurked on the last few threads, just haven't posted.

I read the back end of the last thread just now. I'm now worried about toilet roll. We have one left in our house. Please tell me I'll be able to pick some up tomorrow night when I go shopping.

I've had a couple of nice days. Arranged to take DD2 to meet up with her friend the other evening. We had a nice little potter and it was so good. Then this weekend I've met up with others for a run. Its the first time in 3 months that I have ran a different route than the 3 that have all started at my front door. Also the first runs I have had with other people. I'm starting to feel better now.

One of my friends has posted that speech too about thanking the protesters from NHS etc. Though hers ended with All Lives Matter. The figures will certainly be interesting in a couple of weeks time. Fingers are crossed that the cases and deaths keep coming down. That really will give the dementors something to think about.

I'm of the view that April was the second wave. We had the first in November/December time. Of course I'm not really that sure, but I really wouldn't be surprised.

@runningninja79 - I had no problem getting loo rolls on Friday. If you are I’d recommend a quick trip to smaller local shops as they seem to be slower to run out of things. I think it’s just a Mumsnet scare though
