Link?

Do you have a reliable source for that?

You sound like a nightmare/hard work/unhinged

I'm saddened by

That's vile/grim

There are many, many more please feel free to add! Grin

*Do I need to put 'lighthearted' in the OP ..?

OP posts:
ImFree2doasiwant · 02/06/2020 22:18

@Megatron

So what did your MIL/DH/random person in supermarket say when you told them their behaviour was unacceptable?

^ THIS one really pisses me off because it's such a smart arse comment, normally made to a poster who hasn't tackled the situation yet because they don't know how to. Which is exactly why they're posting for advice in the first place. It's intended to make someone feel stupid.

Every time I see this I get irrationally angry. It's often directed at posters who have clearly controlling partners/family members or who have come up against a particularly cunty member of the public.
KeepWashingThoseHands · 02/06/2020 22:34

I've just seriously injured myself. There is blood squirting all over the kitchen and I feel faint. What should I do as I don't want to waste doctors time.

OR

My nose is quite itchy today, what do you think it is? OP you better get straight to A&E, as that needs looking at right NOW before your nose falls off your face which is what happened to my Aunt Jenny. A&E are always pleased to see people no matter how (fucking stupid) their ailment and I don't want to freak you out but I just Googled your symptoms (and I have no medical training whatsoever but can type) and well, it's not looking good I'm afraid. You're probably going to need a rhino transplant, I'm guessing from a rhinosaurus donor.

DrDavidBanner · 02/06/2020 22:37

Why are you posting this in Chat?

DJTanner · 02/06/2020 22:39

'He's a cocklodger/cockwomble'

Totally prissy sentence said by people who probably think bum is a swear word....

DrDavidBanner · 02/06/2020 22:41

@Electrical Everyone else will tell you to LTB but that's because the're a bunch of man hating shrews. You need to just try harder.

bloodyhellsbellsx · 02/06/2020 22:47

The daily mail are cunts rant at the beginning of some posts 🙄

Megatron · 02/06/2020 22:58

@ImFree2doasiwant Yes! That's exactly what I think, it so bloody superior and just not nice.

OP posts:
SpillTheTeaa · 02/06/2020 23:10

What does the Biscuit mean? I always wonder when I see it Blush

SpillTheTeaa · 02/06/2020 23:12

The ones I find funny are

'No daily mail I don't give you my consent to publish this thread!'

Give your head a wobble

You're seriously unhinged

And apparently most of people's partners are cheating and to 'get your ducks in a row'

CatRamsey · 02/06/2020 23:22

At the moment I'm noticing

"why are you doing X during lockdown?"

With absolutely no relevant advice or comment to the thread whatsoever

Viviennemary · 02/06/2020 23:52

Keepwashingthosehands Grin that did make me laugh thanks.

ActuallyItsEugene · 04/06/2020 20:04

@CatRamsey I see a lot of that too at the moment.

Especially by the self-appointed lockdown prefects who deem the thing the poster is doing as not essential, despite it being perfectly in line with the current guidelines.

BippityBoppity87 · 04/06/2020 20:41

You can’t have that as a baby name, it’s a surname

Oh no op! My friend’s auntie’s second cousin knows someone with that name and they are incredibly uncouth. Change it immediately

Granted I haven’t been in the baby board section for a few years so it might have changed since then

BippityBoppity87 · 04/06/2020 20:42

Oh I remembered another one. What if they wanted to a be a judge

Destroyedpeople · 04/06/2020 20:53

Scenario ome. .
Op 'I am so worried about my 18 year old son who is living alone and working in London
...perhaps I should go and see him and give him a tenner and make sure he is ok'

MN..'OMG I cannot believe you have raised such an over entitled man child.

Scenario 2
Op ..'my ds who is 22 and studying rocket science at Cambridge is having trouble with his landlord and deposit issues.

MN..'well when you go and collect him at the end of term you can go with him to CAB and maybe have a word with his landlord yourself. And have a good look at where he us living...'

Hmm
Sonichu · 04/06/2020 21:09

""

Endless topics like this. You could pee on a stick in less time than it takes to make a thread asking strangers on the internet whether you're pregnant or not.

jokolo · 04/06/2020 21:12

I don't know why but I still find Balonz really really funny. I'm laughing now just thinking about it.

On the face of it, it's not that funny. But it's also an old Sussex name.

LittleAtlas · 04/06/2020 21:20

I don't want to be too outing...

Long time lurker, first time poster...

I didn't mean to but I ended up looking through his phone...

I'm going to step away from this thread now (after not getting the responses they wanted) Grin

Heathcliff27 · 04/06/2020 21:24

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 04/06/2020 23:28

You could pee on a stick in less time than it takes to make a thread asking strangers on the internet whether you're pregnant or not.

I find those threads sad.
The poster is either desperate to be pregnant (/pengent/pergenant...); or equally desperate not to be.

Either way it's the misplaced hope that strangers can alter the hard reality.

MazDazzle · 04/06/2020 23:34

Waitrose

do you have anyone in RL you could talk to?

my eldest/youngest/middle child has ASD (I say that as a mother of a child with ASD!)

found messages on DH’s phone

AIBU to be disappointed by my engagement ring/mothers’ day gift/birthday present etc

SamSeabornforPresident · 04/06/2020 23:46

You do you. [shrug]

Also the posters who describe fruit as 'little balls of sugar'.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 07/06/2020 11:25

AIBU where the op thinks that she is in the right. Entirety of mn disagrees and she's actually wrong. With every update the op gets more and more irate and argumentative that's she right. Even issues a massive drip feed and she's still being unreasonable. Op then Flounces

Sunnydaysrock · 07/06/2020 12:05

Use of the word 'utterly'.
As pp said using 'think' followed by a clue to what they mean.
'Red herring', overused/misused

Destroyedpeople · 09/06/2020 09:12

'Utterly appalled'
'Incandescent '
'I was just a little bit sick in my mouth'....this last one...so twee and childish and..silly. is there anywhere else to be sick?
