Hi everyone
Just for fun. I can't sleep and I always loves these types of threads.
I love seeing other people's engagement rings/wedding rings, and if there is a story behind the ring!
Here's mine... it's an antique diamond belonging to DH grandmother, he didn't like the original setting so redesigned it, and this is the end result! I love it.
Looking forward to seeing everyone else's!

Your ring is gorgeous.

Mine is a very simple one. Got it 16 yrs ago in argos! Was about 300 at the time. The diamonds are really clear. Cant find any flaws in them. Bargain really!

Love a ting thread!
My left hand is stuck with feeding baby right now but it is an Edwardian 3 stone diamond and sapphire on yellow gold.
Love it.

I’m about to be in receipt of a vintage emerald an diamond ring that DH has been loading with the jeweller during lockdown.

I’m a real magpie for sparkly things

Both my rings from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, we really enjoyed our day trip to choose the rings. Platinum settings and I love the twist and shaping.

DH chose mine in Hatton Gardens, he knew I'd like this as slightly unusual shape. Had the wedding band made to fit it. It's a small single square diamond in white gold, I love it!

Love all of these! I too am a lover of sparkly things... I keep dropping hints for an eternity ring.

Engagement ring from Warren James and wedding ring from Argos

I picked out the ring before dh proposed it came as a set or on its own but by the time it came to sorting out wedding rings, the set was no longer available

This is my ring .... hubby chose it, though we'd been looking at similar in shops prior to his proposal 💕

Bought coordinating eternity ring for an anniversary and plain band.

Love my rings xxx

Me and DP got engaged 18months ago. We'd been together at high school about 6years ago but drifted apart. We got back together after a chance meeting whilst I was at Uni and he was visiting a friend who goes to the same uni. My ring is a cheap ring due to the job I do I didn't want something expensive. We chose it because the brand is 'Moon and back' which is a very mushy saying we say to each other! Also he felt left out so I bought him an engagement ring too!

Ps please excuse the state of DPs nails, nail biting is his most annoying and dirty habit 🤢

Gerbo - I nearly chose that ring too!!
Ended up having mine made in Birmingham Jewellery quarter - 'scuse the fat fingers

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/05/2020 14:59

Simple 6 prong, diamond platinum solitaire here. We chose it together and in hindsight I wish I’d chosen something more sparkly, maybe a 3 stone, but at the time I wanted ‘simple, classic, goes with anything’ which it is. Wedding ring was my GMs eternity ring from the 50s, I think the old and new work well together

It's the first time I've been able to join in one of these threads since we got engaged last November.

Mine is second hand from a local jewellers, 3 aquamarine with 8 diamonds in the leaf design.

I adore mine. It’s from Philip Stoner. I now have a very plain and simple platinum wedding band that I wear with it.

I’m not really a jewellery person at all but I love my engagement ring.

@FarTooSkinny are you the Duchess of Cambridge?

Mines a bit Art Deco which I love. It’s the nicest thing I have ever owned.

Not engaged (been together for 13 years and no real intention to ever marry) but I've always fancied something quite unique if ever I was to get a ring.
