Properly violet or green eyes?

Other than fictitious characters do you know anyone, or do you have, these coloured eyes? I mean like really intense green or vivid purple? I’ve never seen anyone with any but would love to! Would love to have them myself too rather than my own sludgy brown, supremely inefficient ones!

Sorry for crap pic but my eyes are an unusual colour - the main colour is a shade of blue but I have a gold crown around my pupil (heterochromia) and a dark ring around the iris (limbal ring, apparently) which combine to give an impression of sea green. They look very different in different light and they are often described as intense. Definitely my best feature!

I have no idea what my eye colour is, blue/tourquise/grey

Everyone always comments on them and say "your eyes are beautiful" I'm like "cheers", never know what to say 😂

I LOVE green eyes. Love them. I always imagined I'd marry a man with green eyes. I share intensely blue eyes with x2 of my DC, and my youngest has paler blue eyes but has ginger hair which I'm told is unusual. My eyes are probably my best feature but I'd swap them for green eyes any day of the week! I've never met anyone with purple eyes though

I knew someone at uni who had violet eyes. I wondered for ages whether they were natural or contacts but didn't want to ask. Sadly, it turned out they were contacts.

One of my friends doesn't have irises at all so her eyes just look black. I didn't really notice until she told me though!

Oh also I have a larger than average size pupil. One optometrist even said "you have the biggest pupils I have ever seen" 😂 so I look very "doe eyed" all the time.

@MsJuniper ...mine have that dark edging too, delighted to know it has a proper name !

I have very green eyes, most noticeable if I wear a dress the same colour or green or purple eye make up.

I once got some green coloured contact lenses, I didn’t realise how actual green my eyes are until then. I put the lenses in and there was no difference at all to my natural colour.

My sister had very green eyes and was a natural dark red head. The combination was stunning. If she wore a green jumper or top it made her eyes really pop, she was always asked if they were contacts.

Mine (till I was around a teen) were really really pale blue, and I always had really pale natural blonde hair, sadly my eyes and hair have darkened as I’ve gotten older still pale blue but a darker shade, and now I’m more of a dirty blonde.

Interesting thread. But what's all this about people's eyes flashing when angry? As a pp said "have they got LED's in them?".
It's apparent from anyone's eyes when they're angry, or feeling any emotion really. No flashing required.

My eyes are green but the intensity changes based on the light and what I'm wearing.

Never seen violet eyes but a relative has the closest I’ve seen-they’re a really deep, vivid blue.

Definitely not violet but I find dd’s eyes (see photo) totally mesmerising. It’s very hard to capture in a photo, but the difference between the dark outer ring and the lighter, sparkling inside, especially in sunlight is beautiful.

Green here but I love DD2’s, they’re like iridescent sea glass with a dark edge.

Maybe we’ve discovered that eyes are hard to photograph ?

DD has the most spectacular blue eyes, she gets compliments on them and they are definitely blue. However if she looks at the light in a certain way they can appear green (like the pic with her hair in it)

Mine are blue, my husband's are light green.

I can’t believe they’re the same child!

My mum had an intense periwinkle blue eyes, dad's were just, well, eyes!, sort of blue, sort of flecks of hazel in them, so far,so normal. But my brothers, tho! Pure light grey eyes, no flecks of any other colour,etc. in them. So, with his light grey eyes, quite swarthy pockmarked skin (bad childhood acne there)and dark hair, you could put a WANTED - Dead or Alive poster up with his mugshot and there's no-one who wouldn't convict him on that alone

There's a photo of DH at toddler age where he clearly has blue eyes, not as vivid as DD's but very clearly blue. Not sure what age his turned green though. We hope hers stay the same though, they're gorgeous (I'm a bit biased!)

Dds are grey with a very dark blue outer ring and brown in the middle

My mum had pale blue eyes and my dad had almost black eyes. They were so dark brown his pupil was virtually indiscernible. I was known for my cornflower blue eyes when I was little, but when I went through puberty they changed to blue/green/grey. They change depending on my mood, what I’m wearing and the weather, etc. They are more green, I think...

Murky grey green eyes, take after my mum. Was hoping one of my DC would take my eyes but they're both deep brown.
