Properly violet or green eyes?

Other than fictitious characters do you know anyone, or do you have, these coloured eyes? I mean like really intense green or vivid purple? I’ve never seen anyone with any but would love to! Would love to have them myself too rather than my own sludgy brown, supremely inefficient ones!

I'm not sure what colour to define mine as, as I think the colour falls into the middle ground that some people see as blue and some as green.

DD1 has a friend whose eyes are completely black - you can’t see the pupils at all. It looks quite odd, as she has very pale skin and red hair. Her Mum’s eyes are the same, although she has dark hair.

I'm currently waiting for my baby's eyes (nearly 4 months now) to turn brown but it's not happening my son has brown eyes like me (I'm part Asian) but her eyes were normal dark blue baby eyes when born and have gone lighter and bluer since...I think I'll accept she won't be a mini me I love interesting eye colours, I find it fascinating.

My DH and DS have clear green eyes, as did my dad. I'm a bit jealous tbh, I have boring medium brown!

My cousins son has the most beautiful eyes and they contrast so well with his skin tone. He's a handsome bugger

Loads of posters always say they have green eyes but when someone posts a picture they look hazel to me.

Not sure if this is just a blue eyed thing or a family thing but our eye colour seem to change over time.

I come from a big blue eyed family - I think 50 of us have various shades of blue. All of the kids have very bright blue eyes which tend to fade/change as they become teens. I've noticed that the older members change again, eg my dads become much brighter when he got to his 60s.

I have bright green eyes with a darker green ring around the iris. People often ask me about the coloured contacts they think I am wearing!

I went to school with two girls with deep red hair and the most amazing eyes. One had amber eyes like a cat and the others were a sort of dark orange that matched her hair. They were incredibly beautiful girls and I’m sure their eyes got them a lot of compliments.

That's reminded me I do know someone with really striking amber/golden eyes. She was very beautiful already! Some people have all the genetic luck...

My son has amber eyes. Sort of clear and light yellow/brown. Like tea with no milk in!

I have very pale green eyes, dark hair and olive skin. I am the only person in the family to have green eyes and people often think I have contacts in as they are a strange colour!

Glasz. My eyes are 'Glasz', a combination of green, blue, grey, and gold. This eye color (or combinations of colors) has very little melanin (i.e. pigment) in the epithelial iris layers.

Mine appear to change with the seasons. In the summer they are bluer and in the Winter greyer.

I don't quite know how it works with genes and eye colour, as all of my family have blue eyes. Both my parents and all 3 of my siblings. Mine are green. My exh has blue eyes and my ds has the same colour as his but my dd has a blue green mix. I have always been called the milkman's child

Mine are blue with a ring of dark blue around the edge, my daughters are greenish hazel. Love these pics.
