Is for Numan and its erectile dysfunction treatment.

I get unreasonably annoyed at the opening line: “erectile dysfunction is common in men”.

Well, yes, but it’s unlikely to be common in women!

OP posts:

Oral B - it's quite an achievement to find the most gormless women in the country to be in that ad. Also hate Haribo with the stupid baby voices.

Nicolastuffedone · 23/05/2020 12:06

The sun life ones....she comes round with his mail and at the end he hands over his phone for her to call them RIGHT NOW!! So stupid!

TellySavalashairbrush · 23/05/2020 12:20

The Flash one with the man and the dog. All that’s missing is the jazz hands.

Postcode lottery and the bloody singing

Any mattress ad where the person sleeps straight on it without a bottom sheet.

I'd like to share with you this horror from NZ. It's shown repeatedly during my lockdown lunches (where I guiltily watch Real Hoosewives of Beverley Hills) It ticks all the boxes!

Lazy sexist stereotypes
Extraordinarily annoying voiceover
A 'that would never happen' scenario
Trying to be amusing = Major cringe factor

I present, the worst fucking baby shower ever

GreenTeaMug · 23/05/2020 13:33

yeah- that is BAD.

Who thinks of these things??!!

tigger1001 · 23/05/2020 13:46

I came on to say the stupid erectile dysfunction one and the pregnant lady telling us what we will need to remember in 6 months - like we will have forgotten this in 6 months.....

Any advert re covid 19. I am watching more tv as a result of being at home, I don't need several adverts per tv programme reminding me to stay home. Let me have some escapism.

RedRec · 23/05/2020 13:50

That Home Instead one. Capitalising on the current fear of nursing homes.

LockedInMadness · 23/05/2020 13:51

At least that NZ one is a change from the 'over 50s' insurance ones constantly rammed down our necks over here Grin

Ursaminor · 23/05/2020 13:54

The Tesco one where the chap is making the dinner (smuggly going on about toasted spices) and having some "afternoon delight" with his wife as they have the house to themselves during lockdown - makes my toes curl.

petalpower · 23/05/2020 14:01

The Ribena one where the woman says presss-err in a ridiculous way. Annoys me every time.

MotheringShites · 23/05/2020 14:04

Nationwide without a doubt.

A PP has just reminded me though, that they were doing this cringe shit before lockdown. The “best friends” in a photo booth. Makes me shudder.

Liverpool52 · 23/05/2020 14:16

There's an online gambling one with a woman playing a guitar with her foot. Hate it.

And the oral b one - where it's such a revelation that brushing your teeth keeps your mouth healthy. Silly bint.

gingerbreadslice · 23/05/2020 16:14

I love the Aldi ones though the sarcastic ones. And the bloody persil one makes me cry when it says for your years we've told you to play out for now please stay home and shows an empty park Sad

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 23/05/2020 16:23

I thought I was the only one wanted to kick the screen in over that stupid innovate woman on the Microsoft teams advert

UnfinishedSymphon · 23/05/2020 16:35

A little bit of wee is not going to stop me being me

Annonymiss123 · 23/05/2020 16:41

That Tampax horror that involves a tv presenter matily shouting ‘Shove’em up there, girls!’

^^This!!

Closely followed by "Perf with Serf". Happy to say I didn't know that was Dani Dyer.

theprincessmittens · 23/05/2020 16:53

@MabelFigge

They are all 'poets' on various poetry scenes around the country. I know someone who was approached twice to pitch for them...she was paid £2K just to go down and shoot the ad...if her ad had been picked for broadcast she would have been paid £50K. She auditioned purely for the money. Didn't get selected for broadcast either time.

I've told her to the face that they are fucking awful and everyone in the ones who have been broadcast deserve to die in a freak threshing accident (all at once, preferably)

ThornyR0se · 23/05/2020 17:01

Are you telling me that the awful couple who have got to postpone their wedding are poets?? 😮

dicksplash · 23/05/2020 17:07

My dh hates with an unreasonable passion every single one of the nationwide ads.

00100001 · 23/05/2020 17:10

All of the "home made" adverts

RuPaul drag race trailers

theprincessmittens · 23/05/2020 17:43

@ThornyR0se Matt Abbott and Maria Ferguson? Yep...and to make matters worse, they actually met because of these godawful adverts. Matt Abbott did one of the first in September 2016.

Theukisgreatt · 23/05/2020 17:55

Nationwide, fucking awful. All of them. They're not funny. At all.

Oral B tooth paste woman with a fridge full of peppers, kindly fuck off.

McCain with the "modern husband" who literally puts some oven chips in to cook.

I find the Tampax one terrifying.

What about the new HiHi one (the phone system) "that's three rings now, call another company Jim".

But can I mention CHARLOTTE TILBURY. She has to put herself into every ad with some cheesy line.

sobersides · 23/05/2020 18:07

Dominos pizza! Every time I switch onto Channel 4 and see that bubbling, dripping greasy pizza it make me want to vom.

mumoseven · 23/05/2020 18:20

Does anyone have a link for the Tampax ad? It sounds hideous
i hate any of them that say ' in these uncertain times' or 'new normal'
Or that show people having a jolly time in lock down, makes me feel inadequate and depressed

NightScentedStocks · 23/05/2020 18:23

I think the Perf with Surf ad is one of those that tries to be deeply irritating so people notice it and talk about it. It's worked
