Most annoying advert on the TV right now

Is for Numan and its erectile dysfunction treatment.

I get unreasonably annoyed at the opening line: “erectile dysfunction is common in men”.

Well, yes, but it’s unlikely to be common in women!

Oh yeah the 6 months time ones the wedding one makes me cringe so much

gingerbreadslice · 23/05/2020 09:59

@ipswichwitch I'm sorry that made me laugh so much Grin

@ThornyR0se
Deanna used to work in my school when I was around 14 she was like a youth type worker you'd go and see. She was brilliant and spoke like us so you'd feel safe and calm going to see her.
I actually missed her when I left it's been 11 years since I last see her. Was shocked when she was on the tv Shock

So she used to do something useful then. That’s good. Shame she had to spoil it.

gingerbreadslice · 23/05/2020 10:03

@Rebellenny Galbarnarni

ThornyR0se · 23/05/2020 10:04

The “in 6 months time” woman is a comedian apparently 🙄

Mrsjayy · 23/05/2020 10:05

The pregnant woman who Danced and danced on astroturf is so annoying that I'm not sure what the advert is for? The bold advert where I think Tony Hadley might actually be singing BOLDHmm

Iamblossom · 23/05/2020 10:09

@Thornyrose she really reminds me of the woman who plays a prostitute in After Life with Ricky Gervais... Talks exactly the same way.. DH not convinced ...

EinsteinaGogo · 23/05/2020 10:09

What about all those Bingo adverts where they make out that online bingo is the life of the glamourous..

littlemeitslyn · 23/05/2020 10:12

'You've done it all,,broken every code '

gingerbreadslice · 23/05/2020 10:16

I also don't like any bingo or gambling ones especially the roulette or slots one it's always a man in a suit looking high powered. But the man at home playing it isn't he's just losing money Confused

Fleamaker123 · 23/05/2020 10:22

I'm not going to let a little wee stop me

We're not stupid, paper incontinence knickers will never look sexy, even in black.

Besom · 23/05/2020 10:23

Robert de Niro dressed as a hipster. Why? Surely he doesn't need the money?

LockedInMadness · 23/05/2020 10:27

We're not stupid, paper incontinence knickers will never look sexy, even in black.

Or bloody "pretty" 🤮

BearSoFair · 23/05/2020 10:29

Oral B. "I know how to keep my body healthy, but how do I keep my mouth healthy?" something about the woman's tone makes me Angry

LockedInMadness · 23/05/2020 10:30

What about the Fairy Platinum one "No more Mr Nice baby"? That gives me the rage Angry

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 23/05/2020 10:45

Am I the only person who doesn't watch live tv. I record everything and fast forward the ads.
I am not sure if this thread makes me relieved I don't watch ads or if I feel a bit left out 😂

Besom · 23/05/2020 10:50

Oh christ yes 'No more Mr nice baby'.

ElectricTonight · 23/05/2020 10:51

Perf with Surf does my nut in.

The tampax one is just eugh.

I love the Lloyds bank one though!

ElectricTonight · 23/05/2020 10:54

@besom I always thought it was to do with the song "it's raining men" and they've tried to make a joke chaps and gals = boys/men and girls/women maybe?

Besom · 23/05/2020 10:59

@ElectricTonight yes it's because of 'its raining cats and dogs'. But who says 'chaps and gals' who isnt from the 1920's? People get paid lot of money for coming up with this shit!

Allflightscancelled · 23/05/2020 11:37

Oral B. "I know how to keep my body healthy, but how do I keep my mouth healthy?"

Last time he saw that ad, my DH said "You could try keeping the fucking thing shut" Grin

Allflightscancelled · 23/05/2020 11:39

Perf with surf
Oral B
Nationwide
And a new one for Aquafresh kids' toothpaste, where the voice over guy can't say 'teeth' properly. Bangs on and on about 'kids tee'. Infuriating.

Allflightscancelled · 23/05/2020 11:41

Oh and the M&Ms one 'Scott's home early'. It's been on so often now, I want to kick the screen in.

Every tine another really done-to-death ad comes on now, DH pipes up with 'Scott's home early' because he reckons that one's bound to be on next

LemonPudding · 23/05/2020 11:46

All the charity ones repeated constantly. Some of them are years out of date.

And the funeral saving and equity release ones using people I used to have some respect for.
