@LivinLaVidaLoki paaaarty!

Pertella · 22/05/2020 16:18

Cheers Lilac, I'm trying to get some firm figures for my county. I've found total deaths for my local NHS trust (178) but can only find cases by county so I'm having trouble marrying them up.

Still 0.02% of people getting covid is pretty low whichever way you slice it.

TheGreatWave · 22/05/2020 16:18

Dom I am WFH full time, DH is the SAHP, yet they still come and find me. There is an awful lot of looking to me from everyone.

I won't start because I probably won't stop.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 22/05/2020 16:19

Wooooooooooo
Though, imagine our body count for fucking off to a festival in Serbia.

LilacTree1 · 22/05/2020 16:19

Festival? 💃🏽 💃🏽 💃🏽

Did we just find love in a hopeless place?!

rosettejill same here. Ds school is an evil MAT and seem positive. Ds isn't in the initial wave but spoke to school about something else this morning and they are missing all the children and want them back

LivinLaVidaLoki · 22/05/2020 16:22

Just seen this beaut on Facebook. Surely the logic here is arse about face....

Re: going on the beach, someone said just wait ten days and the numbers will spike. I said oh yeah just like the VE day predictions then. (rolls eyes)

BakewellTarts · 22/05/2020 16:23

It sounds like MATs might come out of this well...I might even have to revisit my views on them!

Springersrock · 22/05/2020 16:24

Festival you say?

Also off to google flights to Serbia

Orangeblossom78 · 22/05/2020 16:24

MIL thinks I am a dementor...just rang her and she was all "I'm just at M&S...and starts explaining hurried about needing a certain thing and about FIL being in the car and not getting out (in shielding group)

Bless her I kept saying, it's Ok don't worry...it's fine, I'll ring you later.

Poor thing feeling judged by me and others.

Pertella · 22/05/2020 16:25

Ours is a churchy MAT (diocese of Bath and Wells) they seem quite caring

littlbrowndog · 22/05/2020 16:26

Cheers lilac for the new nightmare link 💪💪

Have been chatting with loads of folk. Killing spree

No one I spoke to thinks that Nicola is doing right thing at all

They are all like just open the schools properly. Kids are really suffering. In this. Really suffering.i heard My 6 year niece is frightened to go out

They need to see normal again really really they do

Was in Aldi on another killing spree and seems like people are just cracking on with their shopping. Sometimes the shoppers are just buying 2 things. That is a spree right there

Tonii1985 · 22/05/2020 16:27

Has anyone seen that in Scotland, you will allowed to visit another household in their garden from next week?
Do you think England will follow suit?
It's not much but it would be a game changer for me.

onedayinthefuture · 22/05/2020 16:29

@Pepperwand good for you. I plan to take my DS to the garden centre tomorrow. He is very excited to be helping me pick out some plants even after I told him the cafe won't be open (where we would usually get a slush puppy).

So many teenagers out today in groups definitely no social distancing and boy racers crammed in cars together. I reckon when the secondary kids go back, social distancing will have to stop! It might be possible to brainwash little kids but teenagers, no chance... possibly another reason why the government have gone with the youngest first?

trappedsincesundaymorn · 22/05/2020 16:32

I've committed delivery driver genocide over the last 24 hours. It's DD's birthday on Sunday and she's getting a card, flowers, wine and a box of cupcakes delivered to her tomorrow by 3 different drivers...do I care? Do I hell. Jealous I won't be able to share the cakes with her though, they look bloody delicious.

justasking111 · 22/05/2020 16:34

Re: only 30 dying yesterday in England, 7 in Wales, 3 in N Ireland . Methinks they are fudging the figures to get them through the bank holiday because they are scared of people scattering far and wide. So it has nothing to do with the science.

justasking111 · 22/05/2020 16:35

DS teenager says there are only two things preventing us from going back to a normalish existence.

  1. The stupidity of people and
  1. The stupidity of people.
Springersrock · 22/05/2020 16:39

Given the amount of shit I’ve ordered during the lockdown, I must be a serial killer

I’ve just taken delivery of a horse turnout rug with unicorns on - it is essential my retiree looks silly when she’s out grazing with her mates

Orangeblossom78 · 22/05/2020 16:42

"..teenagers, no chance... possibly another reason why the government have gone with the youngest first?"

Yes, it seems there is a higher risk with secondaries I read today which is why they chose younger ones first.

I'm a bit concerned they might make secondaries online in the Autumn. Or partly, after the Scottish decision yesterday.

Our secondary has 1200 pupils. How will they manage that even with not having the 2 m rule. I have no idea.

LilacTree1 · 22/05/2020 16:44

Tonii I keep asking about that because it seems too good to be true? I hope England will follow?

Not that my friends have gardens, nor do I, but we must end this “no mixing household” shit.

Sorry what is MAT please?

Shodan · 22/05/2020 16:46

Has anyone else seen the Guardian piece about the pressure to ease the social distancing measure to 1 or 1.5 m instead of the current 2?

I did say to ds1 that I believed we were the only country to arbitrarily say 2 m. So that would be good.

But I'm still hanging out for visitors allowed inside one's own home. My 2 friends and I were just chatting - one has been having her home extended and was excited to have us come look at it asap. I said about The Rules and she said What rules? Grin She'd totally forgotten about them (or perhaps, doesn't care about them so much now)
