What's been your weirdest purchase lately?

As the title suggests... let's hear about your random midnight online purchases. I think my most unnecessary (perhaps not weird) purchase has been one of those pancake batter dispensers, simply because I was fed up of what a mess we made on the ONE Sunday in forever that we made pancakes.

RubaiyatOfAnyone I got it off Groupon about a month ago, £25 I think. Just looked and it's not on atm.

Reading this thread inspired me to buy a basketball set and football goal for DS just now 🤣 although last night I bought one of those lush head massager things. Had one years ago but it got all bent because I used to sit and massage my dog with it and he loved it too much

I bought a fold up ballet barre so I can do Zoom classes at home. It's a bit like an ironing board I suppose, and a revelation!

Three inch high wooden numbers 1, 2 and 3 to number my garden sheds.

Bleach and insane coloured hair dye for my teenager. I'd promised she could have mad hair in the summer holidays. But as she isn't physically attending school I thought why not.

A squirrel proof bird feeder. I have never given two fucks about the birds in my garden but as I’m now WFH til Christmas, it turns out I’m rather invested in the lives of my thuggish squirrels, dopey wood pidgeons and various robins.

I ordered one of these yesterday as we’re painting the bottom half of our hallway. I never thought I’d get so excited over a high tech spirit level but this is incredible!

I don’t believe it. DH spent 3 days convincing me that I must really really want a chonky sea doggo from Amazon and I says no, no room. Only to come on here and you’ve all got chonky sea doggos so now I’m obviously suffering from the FOMO!

@ritzbiscuits I now want a fold up barre and I'm not even doing classes! Can I ask what classes you do? Were you already doing classes live before this?

I do two ballet classes per week, that I’ve done live with a local school and then moved to Zoom. There are a number of other online options too eg Dutch National Ballet, English National Ballet are streaming regular barre classes on You Tube.
