Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

Morning all. I'm getting there but not totally up to normal.

So I'm just gooing to do eggs today, Florence will be baking some lovely breads to go with them and you are all welcome to use the kitchen.

benedict

fried
microwaved in a ramekin

As well as hen's eggs there are some duck eggs too.

@mogloveseggs.. Ah thanks! I just had to get the shopping and am back again now! Yes it's horrific.
I heard that on the news about visiting. Yes it feels like we're no closer to the end.

Well it's 22 degrees already so Florence is helping me set up the BBQ and we have a large selection of fruit juices.

@sashh et al morning, I'm not sure how hot it is here but it was irritating just now when I tried to make an iced lemon water and the ice cubes melted too quickly!

Meeting neighbour in half hour for coffee, sorry, doubt appetite will perk up before 10am

So hot in the night, I had a rubbish sleep so please can I have some sort of juice to wake me up!

Morning yes a juice would be lovely please? Off to work soon what's everyone else's plans?

I'd love an Vietnamese iced coffee ( if has condensed milk in it!!) if there's one going. I got about 10 minutes of sleep last and I've been working since 6:30, I'm exhausted 😭

@PinkDaydreams I have a portable aircon in the bedroom, I've not long replaced it after 14 years, they are noisy but you start sleeping through it quickly, the best money I have ever spent.

@sashh that does sound good, we’ve got one of those tower fans but I can never seem to get it to blow cold air on me, then I get annoyed because it’s noisy! I’m a really light sleeper though.
Haven’t done much today, made the most of the sun and got some washing out on the line but that’s about it.

@PinkDaydreams you can always put aircon on for an hour before bed so the room is cool to start with.

@sashh I’m going to look at air con units as our house (bedroom especially) gets so warm! I keep the blinds closed during the day which helps a little.
How’s your day been? It’s lovely and sunny now compared to the rain this morning.

With portable air con you can only get to about 10 degrees lower than the original temp so you need to bare that in mind. If you can fit a split system do.

It's been quiet today, my car has gone for its MOT and service. The cat has been out all day. She like to sit next tot he aircon output tube when it's on.

I may throw in some tex/mex so herves rancheros and a home baced beans

Oh my goodness pancakes with maple syrup and strawberries please!!! And a dusting of icing sugar 😋
