Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

Morning all. Exam result is 22nd July.

Well it's still warm so I think we'll hope from northern Europe to the med, so olives, tomatoes, eggs, breads, jam and honey. Obviously Turkish coffee.

New to this thread so will have to catch up! Is there any leftover Tinda? If so, may I have some plus a glass of Nimbu Pani with a bit of Chaat salt [surreptitiously checks if gin flask is full]?

Ooh - strike previous order! Love Turkish breakfast! Can I have everthing plus some Labneh? Xx

Did anyone else have crazy thunder and lightning during the night? Every dog in the neighbouring mile must have been howling at 3:30 this morning 🙈😴

A strong iced coffee would be amazing please @sashh it's still too hot for a normal one.

I would have loved a storm, I just had the sound of the AC to sleep to, it's cloudy but really warm here at the moment so I'm hoping for a storm.

Are you looking for a job as a sous chef? Enjoy the cafe, the regulars are, obviously me, NoGravy, Dancing, Mog and Pink. Florence is the pastry chef.

There is a cat area and a water feature in the garden, dogs and cats welcome, if you have a fractious baby there is usually someone to take them off you for a while.

No thunder during the night here but it’s raining now and has started to cool the air down which is nice. The beach looks lovely @mogloveseggs. We stayed in the garden yesterday as we thought our nearest two beaches would be very busy. Also I don’t cope that well with the heat

I will have anything for breakfast please, and i too will pour myself an iced coffee!

I can’t believe how busy Bournemouth beach was! I was looking at the news last night and it just looked awful. I was also thinking about how much litter will get left on the beach, it actually made me feel quite sad.

It was beautiful yesterday. I went on a date ( nothing serious, we will just be friends but needed to get back on that horse) and got so sunburned 😂

@Pink I couldn't believe it when I saw the pictures!! I don't think I've ever seen so many people on one beach

I don’t understand why people stayed?! I wouldn’t have enjoyed being that crammed and so close to others.

We just went for a socially distant walk in my towns nature walk and then a coffee. No it was someone I met off tinder, he was really nice and we had no awkward silences or anything like that, just no spark? I kind of had an idea that it probably wasn't going to amount to much anyway but it was nice to actually get out and meet someone new. I'm pretty proud of myself, I had never been on a date ever before 😂

Anyone else melting in this heat? I really dont cope with hot weather. I wish I could.

I would have loved to have gone to the beach to paddle my feet in cold water. But I know I wouldnt enjoy busy beaches at all.

So I will sit in the cafe garden, in the shade near the water fountain. Hopefully there will be a breeze. I remember visiting Chatsworth house and enjoying the gardens there.

Irl I am hoping there will be a storm and rain to break this super hot weather.

I don't understand The thinking of the people at Bournemouth at all. I would have left.
There was a brawl on a welsh beach too.

We had the storm yesterday and today is considerably cooler. Hopefully it reaches all of you soon. It was needed!

Afternoon all, for some reason this morning MN was crashing my computer.

My friend gave me a tip for the heat yesterday, a towel in cold water, rung out and placed round you neck, it seems to actually be working.

Does the cafe per chance happen to have a banana split or similar on the menu?

I tend to only do breakfasts but I'm sure you will find some ice cream int he freezer and there are bananas on the table, help yourself.

We've had a bit of rain and now back to sun! Hoping it stays for Ds first cricket practise this year tonight!

Evening all! I've decided I'm throwing a cocktail party this evening. On the menu we have:

• pina coladas
