Morning all, well the cafe thread is just about full so here's the new thread.

Just a reminder Florence has made pastries over night, the garden is open with the sensory garden, the cat area (with catnip bush) is available and feel free to cool your feet int the water feature.

What's a dune bug?

Hope the cats won't mind us taking over the garden this evening!

sashh · 27/06/2020 03:43

Morning all

It looks like breakfast will be pain killers, large glasses of fruit juice followed by bacon butties.

NoGravyForYou · 27/06/2020 06:44

Morning @sassh

A bacon sarnie is just perfect. How do you always know exactly what we need every morning ❤️

Hope everyone is well today! I thought I was off work today but got a last minute begging text so a 6:30am start it is then 😭🙈

I hope the rain held off for cricket @mog

sashh · 27/06/2020 07:39

Morning!
Enjoyed the virtual drinking last night thank you! A dune bug is a banana drink and it’s just so delicious! Takes me back to my partying nights many many years ago!! I’m currently off alcohol, don’t enjoy being hungover the next day!

Lots of rain in the night, it was very relaxing listening to it but then someone was setting off fireworks at about 2am Confused

mogloveseggs · 27/06/2020 08:50

It did thanks @NoGravyForYou
AND he slept properly for the first time since lockdown-he's a very active kid normally
Parents were doing the activities with the kids so dh did it as I need a new sports bra Blush but parents had to run, so I'll be doing it next week (previously broken ankle makes it difficult for him).

mogloveseggs · 27/06/2020 08:52

Dune bug sounds nice @PinkDaydreams

Morning @sashh what's your plans today?

sashh · 27/06/2020 09:44

Hi @Mogs my carer will be round today, so he'll do the housework and then we will probably have fish and chips with a drop of alcohol.

I'm also hoping for a thunder storm

OP posts:
mogloveseggs · 27/06/2020 10:37

Ooh fish and chips!
Might see if we can have that tonight-our chippy is open in the village.
I'm up at the hospital. Pain when I wee.
It's quiet so I should get out quick hopefully

sashh · 28/06/2020 05:46

Morning all.

@mogloveseggsog

How are you today? Hope it wasn't something serious.

I have cranberry juice if it's cystitis. Some strong painkillers as well.

It's another warm day here so I'm doing fruit based breakfasts, fresh fruit, pancakes with fruit, waffles, yoghurt, I might even have some icecream.

mogloveseggs · 28/06/2020 09:28

Morning!
I'm ok thanks @sashh
Infection so have antibiotics and cranberry juice although I hate it would be gratefully received.
Supposed to be at a bbq this afternoon however it's 12 degrees, raining and blowing a gale.

sashh · 28/06/2020 11:51

I'm waiting for an NHS call back, I may have mumps.

OP posts:
mogloveseggs · 28/06/2020 12:10

Hope they call back ASAP Flowers

NoGravyForYou · 28/06/2020 12:44

I'm so hungover 🤮😂 I need a cure 😂

Omg @sassh! Are you ok!?

mogloveseggs · 28/06/2020 12:53

Hair of the dog @NoGravyForYouGrin
Any sign of the phonecall @sashh?

sashh · 28/06/2020 14:34

Hi All.

I've had a call back, they think it might be mumps too. They wanted me to go to the local walk in but my GP does same day appointments so I'm going to go see them tomorrow.

I feel a bit ill, but not really ill, not like I need to be in bed.

I'm too old to have had MMR and I thought I'd had mumps as a child.

My carer hasn't been 100% and I don't think I could have picked it up from anyone else, since the start of lock down I've only seen him and the odd delivery driver.

On Thursday a friend came over as we have done the 'combine the household' thing but she's been really carefull too.

And before anyone asks - no I'm not posting pics.

Morning all, hope you're ok Sashh and that appointment is helpful today. Take care .

sashh · 29/06/2020 06:03

Moprning all.

@whatever45 thank you, I'll start calling at 8.00am, unless they have changed their system, which they might have done.

OP posts:
NoGravyForYou · 29/06/2020 09:36

Hope you get seen today @sashh

How is everyone else?

PinkDaydreams · 29/06/2020 09:55

Morning all!
Rainy day today and very windy. Please can I have a hot chocolate to warm up Smile
Good luck with the doctors @sashh

sashh · 29/06/2020 11:37

Morning.

The Dr thinks mumps is unlikely but that it might be tonsillitis (I've had that a few times and it feels different) or another viral infection, or it could be covid!

I have to go back to them if the swelling gets worse.

OP posts:
mogloveseggs · 29/06/2020 19:15

Oh @sashh I hope it's nothing serious. Flowers

NoGravyForYou · 29/06/2020 20:44

Oh goodness @sashh !! Thanks

Really hope it is just tonsillitis.

sashh · 30/06/2020 05:51

Morning all, so my right cheek is more swollen today, I'm going to social distance at the far end of the garden. Florence is making lovely pastries and hot chocolate, if you want anything fried you may have to do it yourselves.

OP posts:
mogloveseggs · 30/06/2020 17:38

Oh @sashh that sounds painful! Have they given you anything?
I skipped breakfast this morning but will happily finish the washing up
