I think I finished the last thread by accident...

I'm sorry about everyone's corona mullets. I have to admit that the lack of grooming options atm is playing right into my hands. I'm that lazy fucker who never brushes her hair, never wears make up and has eyebrows that slowly migrate across her face. It's nice to have everyone join me at my scruffy level. I'm also very much looking forward to my partner caving and letting me cut his hair. I have zero idea how to cut hair so I know this will be hilarious (for me). Hopefully he doesn't leave me in the process.

Goodness I predict a civil war - Scotland Vs Wales Vs England, though I think Cornwall may want a bite of the biscuit, so there may be a 4th contender.

AlexisCarringtonColbyDexter · 11/05/2020 19:36

So, hairdressers and beauty salons open in July? is that right? I'm getting all muddled

Biscuitbiscuits · 11/05/2020 19:36

My DIY haircut came out really well. I did the pigtails then under the chin like someone talked about on another thread.

It's blunt, but fuck it, at least I can get a brush through it and the fried ends are gone.

LilacTree1 · 11/05/2020 19:37

Alexis at the earliest

AlexisCarringtonColbyDexter · 11/05/2020 19:39

Ah ok- depending on the R number I guess.

LilacTree1 · 11/05/2020 19:42

Our entire lives are now built on the R number.

iamapixie · 11/05/2020 19:42

Yes you might be right re the civil war... I am feeling distinctly less keen on the land of my fathers at the moment!

DominaShantotto · 11/05/2020 19:43

What lives? This isn't a life. This is existence.

Mascotte · 11/05/2020 19:47

Thank you @heroku. It's fascinating.
And I like the git bit 😃

Hello again all :) thanks for a shiny new thread.

I went to Morrisons. It was great. Felt almost normal!

PineappleDanish · 11/05/2020 19:52

cases in Scotland are largely in the heavily populated central belt

And within the central belt, heavily concentrated in care homes by the sounds of it. There is a fairly serious cluster in the care home near me which cares for people with fairly advanced dementia and parkinsons. 10 deaths.

There should be more clarity on the figures in Scotland and everywhere really - 10 deaths in my little part of Glasgow sounds horrendous. 10 deaths of people who were in their 80s and in residential care because of their advanced dementia is not so frightening.

I'm gutted that my kids won't be back in the classroom until August. DS should have been sitting his Higher Maths today. The middle one is supposed to be doing Nat5 exams this time next year and the first day of "online school" which is really just a glorified chatroom with no video was an unmitigated disaster. 200 15 year olds all logged into the "maths" room telling jokes and posting silly questions. Teacher had to block the ability to message which kind of defeats the purpose. The online "teaching" was here's the assignment, here's my email address if you get stuck.

I usually work from home and I am really struggling with not having the house to myself at all, ever. There's always a teenager clattering around making toast or DH working in the spare room.

Please let it be over soon. And I'm not wearing a fucking mask, whatever Nicola says.

PineappleDanish · 11/05/2020 19:54

And this is my patronus.

Sorry Domina

I should have said our miserable existence is now based on the R number

Here’s a good read about the R number. I’m still in shock - from ages ago- that this is used as a stick to bash the economy with

@Biscuitbiscuits great to see you! How is Danger Cat? Harry is doing well, although I think he's fed up with me being home all the time! He waves to you and Danger Cat from his marshmallow!

Some people are annoyed because Starbucks is starting to re-open. Smile Brew

BarkandCheese · 11/05/2020 19:58

I’m enjoying watching TV presenters ever growing coronamullets, even DH, who rarely notices these things was laughing at the state of weather man Thomas Shafernaker’s (I’ve certainly spelled that wrong) hair yesterday. I did the ponytail cut on mine and it turned out rather well, poor DD now has a fringe which tickles her nostrils, but I’m not touching it, last time I cut her fringe she ended up looking like a medieval peasant. Instead she’s clipping it to the side and when she wears her glasses looks a bit like a blonde Tina Belcher.

Mascotte · 11/05/2020 20:04

I get a probably murderous delivery of ore mixed hair colour from my hairdresser and apply myself do roots under control thank fuck

Mascotte · 11/05/2020 20:04

Hello everyone.

Biscuitbiscuits · 11/05/2020 20:06

@PinkSparklyPussyCat Hi Harry! DC seems a bit sick of us cramping his style too, he's been enjoying the sunbathing weather coming back though!

That looks like a very comfy marshmallow! Is he well? Dapper as always!

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 11/05/2020 20:07

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 11/05/2020 20:07

Tried to post a picture for thr first time ever and failed miserably'

Biscuitbiscuits · 11/05/2020 20:08

@BirdieFriendReturns Im actually debating to myself whether it would be reasonable to drive 7 miles for a Frappuccino.

Coffeeandcrumpet · 11/05/2020 20:09

Have any of you considered that your thread titles are offensive to all those living daily with the challenges of watching a family member with dementia?
