Crap Films that you love

Ive just spent the last hour on Youtube watching songs from Grease 2, which was my favourite film when I was about 10 and which I watched over and over again. I still remember all of the words Blush. I admit its appalling, but I love it, its like crack to me and if I had to be brually honest I prefer it over the original Grease (which I also love, but its not considered crap is it).

I also love Holiday on The Buses. Which is sexist rubbish obviously but always makes me laugh hysterically. So awful its good and it was filmed in Prestatyn!

Others I love are Supergirl the 1984 version, the 2004 version of Phantom of the Opera and Rocky 4. They are s cheesy and bad that they are brilliant.

What crap films do you love?

3 men and a little lady, and most rom coms, particularly anything with Sandra Bullock

Commando. Schwarzenegger’s character is called John Matrix. And he has a daughter called Jenny. Jenny Matrix. And the villain is this mad guy called Bennett, who’s cutting about looking like Paul Rutherford from Frankie Goes to Hollywood with no explanation. I have seen it so many times but I never tire of it.

Also Over the Top. Sylvester Stallone takes his estranged son on a road trip across America to win a fucking arm wrestling contest. And he’s called Lincoln Hawk. It’s wonderful.

I think with those types of films ( on the buses) I'm laughing more at the mindset of the times. I mean, the Mutiny was because women started working there - the scandal!
Olive is hilarious though.

middleoftheroad · 07/05/2020 20:34

Weekend at Berni's
The Sure Thing
Any 80s Brat Pack film..

Quarantimespringclean · 07/05/2020 20:35

For the oldies amongst us the Please Sir movie is a total classic. Not a single wasted moment and contains the classic line ‘and the little fox goes (whispers) bark bark’.

Frangipaniflower · 07/05/2020 20:38

Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris - it's hilarious but complete rubbish - I love it

Sparklingbrook · 07/05/2020 20:39

Any 80s Brat Pack film Those films are not crap! Especially when Rob Lowe is in them.

BarkandCheese · 07/05/2020 20:43

Jaws 3D, Jaws the Revenge, Cannonball Run 1 and 2, Weekend at Berni’s, Rock of Ages, any big screen outing for a British sitcom.

Pelleas · 07/05/2020 20:47

Mutiny was because women started working there - the scandal!

Ah ha! You would think so, but the women drivers were in the first film, On the Buses. Mutiny on the Buses is where they get a tough new manager in and rebel against him by, e.g. taking the 'wear your uniform only' instruction literally and turning up naked other than their jackets and trousers; and sabotaging his radio control so he ends up talking to an airline pilot (a joke recycled from the series, as many of them were).

Haven't seen it for years and it was good

When I saw the title, my first thought was Grease 2. Loved it so much as a youngster, and still love it now.

Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion Grin

HerBigChance · 07/05/2020 20:50

The George and Mildred film is another cracker, in which George Roper is inexplicably mistaken for an international hit man while Mildred (nee Tremble) simply wants a romantic weekend away.

middleoftheroad · 07/05/2020 20:52

Love watching Short Circuit 1 and 2 with my sons, even though they're teens now, it's a family classic.

Figgygal · 07/05/2020 20:52

Grease 2 is better than grease

Carry On At Your Convenience

"Everyone out!"

PrivateSpidey · 07/05/2020 20:57

What's Your Number with Anna Faris and Chris Evans Blush

It's awful really, v sexist, and with some totally daft scenes, but has got one of the hottest on-screen kisses ever IMHO, makes it all worth it Grin

I also watched a terrible/great Netflix film recently, called (I think) Holiday in the Wild, with Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis. KD's character's husband walks out on her the same day her son leaves for university Hmm - literally as the door is closing after him! It's ridiculous.

She ends up going on their planned second honeymoon alone. Where she meets Rob Lowe who's the boss of an elephant sanctuary. You can guess the story from the first scene, basically. It's terrible brilliant Grin

However I won't hear a word against Clueless or Legally Blonde! They are both really great films.
