So many questions-like where’s the sex dungeon, why so many chairs in the bedroom?

Rescue is just what the giraffe wants. He looks so wistful.

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 30/04/2020 04:50

Is it a student house?! It kind of feels like it’s ended being rented that way after a bad divorce.

TheNestedIf · 30/04/2020 05:04

Every single carpet in that place looks like it auditioned for the LSD scene in Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas.

Blackbear19 · 30/04/2020 05:18

The bed in the garage, definitely looks like a bed rather than a covered up car.
The chairs everywhere.
A dining table just for 2, in a house that size is odd.
But the two pianos in the one room, do they do duets?

Could be made into a cracking pad.

mous · 30/04/2020 05:21

It's like if one of those magic eye pictures from 1990s was made into a house

Op how did you find this and what were your search terms

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 30/04/2020 05:24

I genuinely love that house. I really like boxy houses. Ok so I'd probably change the carpets but the wood ceilings are ace.

BelfastNonBlonde · 30/04/2020 05:38

I actually quite love it. A bit of gutting and you could easily turn it into a clean mid century dreamboat.

Garden needs a bit of work tho!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 30/04/2020 05:47

I’ll admit, it was on Twitter.

To me it looks like it used to be offices or a shop that was badly converted into a home, probably without planning permission and with dodgy wiring!!!

DryHeave · 30/04/2020 05:54

This genuinely looks like something I built on the first Sims game when I was 15.

FixItUpChappie · 30/04/2020 06:00

Oooooooh such massive potential.......but the people who live there now must be blind Grin

NewYearNewTwatName · 30/04/2020 06:01

wow it's like a time capsule.

The architecture gone into this would have cost a bomb in the 60s/70s. it really needs stripping and restoring so you can see it as it was originally designed.

It's really not my taste in style but feel for a historical point of view it's worth keeping.

In the right hands it could definitely be a Meghan Draper pad.

sashh · 30/04/2020 06:04

You'd also have to get rid of the Aga, which is a phrase I rarely use, but that thing needs either an actually modern stove or a mod-squad range.

It has.

It would be a great set for a comendy about making porn set in 1978.

Toilenstripes · 30/04/2020 06:07

Everything is Wrong!

Whenwillthisbeover · 30/04/2020 06:11

Wow, round here it would sell like a shot. It would be bulldozed and a block of posh flats built on that plot.

Would be an improvement.

BillyAndTheSillies · 30/04/2020 06:11

I quite like it. If it was decluttered there'd be a real California vibe about the house. The moulded wall in the TV room is incredible.

The ceiling tiles though...I can smell the asbestos from here.

GlamGiraffe · 30/04/2020 06:12

The GIRAFFE. That has to be the selling point for me!!

This is definitely a house for a (blind) car enthusiast, they never have to be far from their beloved baby and can even sleep next to it enjoying the smell of its lovely exhaust fumes 😁.

This decor is about to become THE thing in told. Apparently 70s is about to hit as a major craze withering and throw the most desirable colour, maybe theres a senseless slave to fashion out there who will jump at the opportunity 😂

goose1964 · 30/04/2020 06:15

Is that how much they'll pay you if you want it. It's awful.

frumpety · 30/04/2020 06:16

The chair in the kitchen makes sense, am guessing an elderly person has lived there recently, chair/tv/microwave all within very close proximity, next to the aga for warmth. Sad really.

Also think that is a little car in the garage, not a bed.

ColdCottage · 30/04/2020 06:19

You'd just need to bulldoze the whole thing wouldn't you and start again.

bevelino · 30/04/2020 06:21

What a horrid thread. OP, I hope you have had a good laugh and tremendous satisfaction at poking fun of someone else’s home.

soundsystem · 30/04/2020 06:22

I actually love this. Makes me a bit teary that it will probably get bull-dozed and developer-ed. Sad

Drama123 · 30/04/2020 06:30

The bathroom looks like it's from The Shining. In fact the whole place does. It just needs a set of twins.

JacobReesMogadishu · 30/04/2020 06:30

Why is it so expensive? It’s in Blackpool? Which I thought was a total shit hole? It’s grim inside, no garden as such. Needs a full refurb.

The estate agent doesn’t seem to believe the claim about the beach ownership. I thought in the uk beaches couldn’t be owned. Do the public still have access to the beach? So ownership of it even if true gives no benefit.

My mil has the exact same sofa as the one in what looks to be the main sitting room. Also has the same wooden ceiling.

Drama123 · 30/04/2020 06:32

But if i had the money, I'd actually like this place. It would probably look amazing if it was re-done.
