Three adults in the house - how much milk per week?

We seem to be going through an average of 20 pints a week, pretty much all in tea/coffee (porridge or pancakes on a Sunday morning maybe). That doesn't even include all the milk dd & I drink as we're both working out of the house around 3 days a week (key workers).

Never counted before as I don't usually shop weekly, but I'm now wondering how much tea per day is too much!

I'm a little bit taken aback by how much milk most people drink! I didn't realise how much other people use! (Not a criticism!) as a single adult living alone, I use 1-2 pints a week

Five of us, three adult sized one teen one child. Mostly cereal eaters and a lot of baking and tea and coffee. So much tea and coffee!

Around 8-9 pints a week and I thought that was a lot.

We get through about 8 litres a week, 2 adults one child. But we drink it as a drink as well as cereals and tea / coffee

I also use it at about that rate but I didn’t realise that until DP started working away when our milk consumption plummeted. He probably uses about 8-10 pints a week, mostly in hot drinks, but maybe about a third of that in cereal.

He just drinks a lot of strong milky coffee (espresso mixed about 60/40 with milk) or puts a lot more milk than I do in tea, all in a mug that is larger than average.

Forgot to say that I don't generally eat cereal apart from occasional muesli but will have that with fruit and yogurt rather than milk. I also eat a lot of cheese, so am not worried about my calcium consumption.

But I think you can get calcium from other sources anyway so not drinking milk isn't necessarily a route to nutritional deficiency and I think other parts of the world, eg some parts of Asia, that dairy products are not generally consumed, certainly not in UK/European levels.

Only 3 of our household drink cows milk, one adult and 2 teens, and we get through at least 16 pints. The other adult and child get through at least 6 cartons of soya milk too! The dc eat so much cereal and we drink far too much tea and coffee!

2 adults & 2 young children - 6-8 pints a week.

DH drinks a lot of coffee all day with milk, kids sometimes have milk with cereal for breakfast and will have a glass of milk most days. I don’t drink any.

Although last year that was probably double as DC drank a lot more milk and we always seemed to be running out!
