Mine is D. B. Cooper. He hijacked a beong 727, stole $1.25 million in today's money, and parachuted down to earth with it. His identity is unknown and it's unknown if he survived the plunge to earth.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Raonaid_Murray

This one it always pops up in my mind.21 years this year and still unsolved.

CakeHoleinRoof · 21/05/2020 01:10

I'd never heard of that case rayoflight
How awful :(

LadyEloise · 21/05/2020 15:27

Raonaid Murray - so sad.

I think the police have a reasonable idea as to the identity of the murderer. But that could be just idle gossip. Sad

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 21/05/2020 15:55

Don’t f**k with cats is brilliant (can’t think of a better word) & not just about animals, in fact I’d say it’s a very small part of it. I just looked away at those points.

Idiot question - do you pay for podcasts? Blush

Leicester5 · 21/05/2020 17:04

It is sad about Raonaid but I don't think police have enough to go on. Suggestions it might have been a female perpetrator?

Argument, stabbing, no-one knows. Well one person does. I read the wiki and was a bit horrified about one of the suspects and the scissor sisters.

penguin podcasts are free! If there's one you love you can choose to support them for a few pounds and you get bonus content and no ads in return.

Thank you!! Smile

I just read that. Horrific but he was such an evil man so no sympathy for him.

JoeExoticsEyebrowRing · 22/05/2020 16:20

Holy shit just read the whole story about the Scissor Sisters in Dublin (and Google imaged). Fuck me, you would not want to cross any of those people, eeeeeek!

BanditoShipman · 23/05/2020 21:08

The case of Diorr Kuntz

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 23/05/2020 22:14

@BanditoShipman heartbreaking case. Definitely the parents and the family. Poor baby.

7Days · 23/05/2020 23:17

I've heard about the link between the scissor sisters' victim and poor Raoinaid Murphy.
Is there more to it than that, any evidence, or is it just talk?

gaggiagirl · 24/05/2020 09:11

Poor baby deorr kuntz. I'm not sure if the parents were involved going by the timeline. Then again who knows if they lied about the timeline.

rayoflightboy · 24/05/2020 09:26

@7days it was just talk.

gaggiagirl · 28/05/2020 18:51

I'm watching the Michael Barrymore documentary again. Poor Stuart Lubbock. I always thought Barrymore was unfairly hounded by the media at the time. I absolutely no longer feel that.

Leicester5 · 28/05/2020 22:39

@gaggiagirl I haven't read too much about it as it seems too sad, feel for his father fighting for justice for him.

I was going to read a bit more on oslo plaza woman but it might be too late at night!

monkeyonthetable · 29/05/2020 23:38

Has anyone come across the case of Theo Hayez? I read it today and it's another very bizarre one with lots of facts that don't quite add up. Another backpacker who vanished - just two days before he was due to head home. He was only eighteen.

BeHereNowx32 · 30/05/2020 08:31

There was another tourist who went missing in the same area as kris and lisanne. Alex Humphrey went missing in 2009, and he was never found. Obviously, no evidence that they are linked. But still another mystery.

dayswithaY · 30/05/2020 08:42

I've just been reading about the Yuba County Five if anyone wants a rabbit hole to vanish down, it boggles my brain.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 30/05/2020 17:02

Yuba County Five - I've just read the Wiki article on them after having a buzz feed unsolved marathon. Curious...

I’ve just started listening to The Lighthouse podcast which is about the disappearance of Theo. I also enjoyed listening to The Teacher’s Pet, about the disappearance and probable murder of Lynette Dawson.
gaggiagirl · 31/05/2020 19:54

Ooh there's my evenings reading up there ^

gaggiagirl · 04/06/2020 07:58

For those interested in the Panama jungle case www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/gw7c9s/i_think_this_guy_killed_lisanne_froon_and_kris/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share interesting write up here.

waltzingparrot · 28/06/2020 20:18

Don't know if these two have been mentioned already, but the two that fascinate me are
The murder of Pamela Werner
(Peking 1930s)
The murder of Gregory Villemin
(4 yr old in France found tied in river)

waltzingparrot · 28/06/2020 20:51

Radio 4 did a programme on the Elsie Frost murder last year as there was an update to the case.
