For me it is a few things:

A decent kids bike. One made with kid's geometry in mind, not just a mini adults bike.

Marmite. No other yeast extract compares!

Paying to see a good osteopath. He has transformed me!

SparkyBlue · 23/04/2020 22:31

A good tiler. We tiled the whole downstairs of our house last year and bought decent tiles and had an excellent tiler put them down for us. My floor (when clean lol) is just fabulous. I really love it

My footstool from Habitat bought in the closing down sale at half price, cost us £250 using vouchers we'd got as wedding presents. Still my favourite thing in the house 15 years on.

Decent tonic water , Egyptian cotton bedding , foundation

For kids - a decent waterproof coat and comfy wellies. Some kind of beach suited summer shoes - crocs or whatever. The amount of kids I know who have all sorts of frippery but don't have those annoys me. Kids love the outdoors.

Agree about pets. My cocker was £750 and a bargain. He is my 3rd child.

My mini Rex was £35 and is priceless the cheeky nosy fearless little bugger he is. Better than therapy for anxious dd2.

LovingLola · 23/04/2020 22:53

Our kitchen extension. It’s transformed the house.

Good wine, coffee, bread, butter and salt.
Dms can not be replicated.
A great pair of jeans that make your arse and legs look amazing. Priceless!!!
My mental health. When the book is good, the wine is plentiful and the jazz is playing, my sundays are worth their weight in gold.

Ezira · 23/04/2020 23:26

Dishwasher, phone/tablet/laptop, subscriptions to Disney and Netflix. Oh and our coffee machine and wine fridge! Saltwater sandals. One of those self winding hoses for the garden and a good pair of secateurs.

A fly screen curtain! It was about a tenner, but the best tenner I've ever spent as I used to spend ages whacking flies out the house if I left the back door open, but now with the lovely weather and the curtain it's perfect Smile
