CHIPPY TEA TONIGHT!!!!

Fuck I'm excited. Haven't had a chippy dinner in over a month and our local has now reopened for contactless deliveries.

Fuck me, what do I have? Does this justify fish AND a battered sausage?

Best thing to happen all week.

Had my first one last night. It's the small pleasures....Have also managed to get a couple of small disposable barbecues ready for when the weather dries up again.

We had one on Tuesday :)

Its a curry night tonight. DD's favourite curry house has reopened for delivery and collections so ordering from them in a while.

I’ve ordered chippy tonight and I’m soooo excited! It should be here any minute so just made a brew in anticipation

Our local chippy does, wait for it... battered black pudding slices. They are honestly divine! I don’t know how I lived without them before trying them

Medium cod, sausage, chips (with salt and vinegar), curry sauce, and a roll for a curry chop butty.

Love fish and chips with battered sausage however I have to pick the batter off as I don’t like it!

I’m awaiting a Chinese as I type and DD is having Chinese chips and sweet/sour pork balls.

The day before lockdown was announced but we all knew it was coming, I went to my local chippie and bought a bag of chips and ate in the park. It was sooooo good - they were just closing so the lady gave me all the chips that were left and all the scraps too. It was about the size of three regular bags. I shared it with a friendly crow and between us we managed to polish of nearly of them. One of my happiest memories of The Beforetimes.

My chippie reopened for deliveries yesterday but we're all veggie and the only veggie thing they do is chips. Not sure it's worth having three bags of chips delivered. I'm going to hold out until we can eat chips at the seaside again. Mmmmmmchips.

There’s not a single Chinese left on just eat either. I think takeaways are gradually closing down. Even dominos has drastically reduced its menu.

Just waiting for ours to arrive! Our chippy has stayed open the whole time and of course we are supporting them by having chips weekly

Our village chippy opens twice a week.

You go in and order and pay with contactless, then you go outside and hang around at 2m intervals until they bring it outside for you.

It makes everyone very happy.

I could murder a potato scallop right now.

All the chippies in our area are closed. We've had a couple of Chinese takeaways though and I've made chicken balti for tea. Battered black pudding sounds amazing!

Dp has gone to get ours, I chose chips, battered sausage, curry sauce and onion rings. Cant wait now

Ours will be here in half an hour, and I've just discovered that they do pineapple fritters!!!

Our local Indian restaurant reopened for takeaway last night and I could’ve cried with gratitude and delight when our curry turned up. It was so, so good. I slept so well last night, with belly full of deliciousness .

Now I want fish n chips! Cod, chips, a pickled onion and a gherkin with lashings of salt, vinegar and ketchup.

I've had takeaways too but only from those that do contactless delivery (payment in advance).

I'm concerned at how many take aways are opening up and still taking cash, letting people queue up, letting drivers deliver and take cash with no gloves or social distancing from the customer.

The ice cream van has just come around the street and DD wanted a cone but you don't know where he's been or how clean his van is. Plus there was a huge queue of neighbours all right next to each other.

I'm concerned that businesses are making up their own rules about when to open and how to open.
