@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g You have just described my childhood! I’m from Leeds and Brian’s and Harry Ramsdens were the top notch chippies , but we had Skyliner and Coes near us to choose from too.

I'd Definitely order all the trimmings, just to support their business/because I'm a fatty😂

I'm thinking of having fish and chips for my birthday dinner in a couple of weeks.

I cannot eat starchy carbs but my God I want a chip butty on a soft white roll, butter, loads of salt and vinegar and a smidge of mayo.

I want it NOW.

None of our takeaways are open - there's nothing on Just Eat in my town anyway (weird I know but the population is rather old and there's no students or anything). I would love a chip butty, or pie and chips, or chicken fried rice and chips!

Oh god I am so jealous, I bloody love a chippy dinner. With loads of thickly buttered bread and tea. Drooling.

We had takeaway last night. The teenager DCs had pizza, DH had a cheese burger and I had a doner kebab and chips. It was awesome. We've had wholesome meals for weeks and I needed some greasy junk food.

You know that a takeaway is not essential. The fact that you even tried to cheer yourself up and got excited over a takeaway is awful. Really not ok!
Like other people have said on other posts, we must all be miserable, it seems to be compulsory to not have fun or enjoyment in anything. You should be ashamed.

So no, absolutely have two battered sausages and a pineapple fritter. You are justified.

Don't forget the pickled egg and a saveloy!

Im in the States and they just dont do fish and chips right. I thought I had made my peace with it (and just having loads of fish n chips when I visit my parents) but now

I really really want a chip shop dinner.

I cant even plan on my next treat as I cant see when travel will be sensible again.

Actually we live in the city centre now and about two weeks before lockdown I noticed a chippy had opened over the road . I though I must go there sometime... never did

And a battered turd for afters! Probably couldn't eat one nowadays; too sweet!
