Why are you awake?

Just that really.

Its 5.40am on Easter Saturday (If that's even a thing)

I'm currently shielding, so I'm waiting for a shop to go online at 6am so i can order some things i need...

I should of gone to sleep, and set my alarm for 6 but just kind of accidentally stayed awake.

What's everyone up to?

Lookingformybrain - how is the essay going?

I am awake because I am camping in a tent in the garden with my five year old and I am cold and I think the swingball just blew over and woke me up....

I've just booked a click and collect slot for next Monday. Feel relieved. I have my parents to shop for plus an aunt and uncle, all in their 70's, two are recovering from cancer. I feel a bit guilty for feeling stressed. But I am by nature an introvert, and the shopping situation with queues has made me physically sick.

Such a precocious first world problem.

Who would have thought being paid to stay home and catch up on a bit of decorating would be so stressful🙊

I'm awake after needing to go A&E due to palpitations lasting more than 5 hours. After blood tests, an ECG and a chest x-ray the only thing that's wrong is I have a sinus arrhythmia. I now can't sleep and the dog is grumbling at me to at least turn the lights off so she can sleep!

I work shifts in NHS and have a DC with autism who struggles to sleep so i never sleep well.

On that note, guess i better sleep too...

I've been trying to chat with someone suicidal (a stranger) online for a bit. Really hoping they've just gone to bed now or something, as haven't answered for a little while. But don't want to leave my screen, just in case. Nothing else I can do for them but useless chat.

Other than that, the reason I was already awake at 4.30am? My sleep pattern's gone very weird with this lockdown, and new meds which knock me out early in the evening. I quite like the quiet morning hours by myself.

Thanks @JustStayHome - Yes, they had finally fallen asleep after having a bad night, and while obviously they're not doing great, felt a bit better after a rest, and with some small plans for the day. I'm also doing okay, thanks. Not quite bedtime yet, although already feeling sleepy after my early start.

I'm awake with GERD too, propped myself up on the sofa, but layed down too long before giving up so the acid is still keeping me awake. My 3 year up will be up in a few hours too.

Zantac worked so well, but its now off the market and i just haven't found anything that works....
I'm on omeprazole...
But most nights i suffer...

I find when i eat less, its worse!
