This. She was born into poverty (which is much worse in the states), raped as a young teen and was likely prostituting herself to survive when she met her first husband. The first husband sounds like a piece of shit in his own right. His ex and kids blame her, but he's the one who walked out.

She endured years of Joe Exotic's vile, misogynistic videos about killing her. She had to spend $$$ to sue him to get him to stop and even then he tried to hire someone to kill her. If she's looney tunes it's because of all the shit men in her life. Glad she seems to have found love with someone stable.

DD and I started watching this recently...my god the whole story is just so bizarre, stuff you couldn't make up! (and we're only 3 episodes in). It's not the sort of thing we would normally watch at all but we're hooked.

I don't think she killed him herself but I suspect she had a hand in setting him up to be murdered and disposed of in Costa Rica (eg. a word in the right person's ear? Dropping him in it with some big drugs baron? A dodgy deal?)
